Because when you're a worshiped, all-powerful, all-knowing creator of all existence, eternal entity... you have to have some sort of entertainment to pass the time.

Suffering is the result of human sin. The world is not the way that God created it and because of that, all are vulnerable to the affects of sin in the world. Why does one person suffer and another does not? Why do catastrophes happen to some and no others? It is because sin is in the world. But there will come a day when the Lord will return and cleanse this world of all sin and all suffering.
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (Rev. 21:4).

Adam and Eve.
Yes it isn't our fault that they made the mistake but we are their offspring therefore we inherit the crappy mistake they made. However even if they hadnt made that mistake some other human would have because it is in our nature to do things that the devil tempts us to do.
No I am not a DEEPLY religious person but I do try to keep track of what I believe in.
The world is filled with terrible things. Yes. God's fault? No. Why does he let this happen? Because of Adam and Eve. But the world will one day end. One day Jesus will come again and then all the people who are ready will be taken up to heaven. That's why people try to be good and do good if they believe in God and what I just said. You have to be ready when He comes and you don't know when He comes. I hope you change your mind about God. [=

Sorry, but this is an unfair question. You're asking it rhetorically. Not really even asking a question, so much as stating your opinion about God.
Even so, God gives mankind the right to make choices. To do right or wrong. So much of the bad in the world is caused by people making wrong choices. It affects themselves and others.
And sometimes bad things happen that can't be explained. They test us to see what we're made of. They make us stonger people. God never leaves us through the ordeal, he's there to help us if we'll just ask.

God is real and the reason why He sent us terrible things is for us to recognize Him. come to think of it , would you bother to visit a doctor if you are not ill? definitely not. the same way with God,if you have all the things in life perfect, would you bother to look and wonder if there is really a God.the fact that you are wonderin if there is really a God means that u are taking one step on knowing Him...=)

The Almighty gave humans freewill to choose between doing something positive or doing something negative, therefore, the human race is only letting themselves down by not doing something positive and making an effort to correct its own problems.
Bottom line: we have to take responsibility for ourselves. If not, the human race isn't as great and powerful as you think.
The only reason why these bad things happen (besides "SH!T HAPPENS") is because people let them happen, which God had already supplied human courage and brains to meet these challenges.

I believe God is real. God is the perfect father and he lets his children suffer the consequences of their actions. I know it doesn't seem fair, but it is all about free will. Bad things happen to good people because the world has a lot of sin. Best wishes.

Because your right, he doesn't exist. If he did exist, where was he when I cried to him for help when I was getting raped at the age of 8? If he truly loved me like they (the christians) claim, then he would have found a way to stop the sick man who attacked me. Some claim the suffering and what not is due to sin, but what about the babies that are getting raped? Did their sin cause them to suffer? Where is he to stop it? My conclusion is, that he doesn't exist!

I ask this myself every day, but... don't know, maybe there's no God, we are all deluding ourselves. It can't be that a God allows so many terrible things, rewards the bad ppl and punishes the good ones.

So, maybe he's not real?
I think it funny and sad that the Christians atribute every good thing to their god and the bad is god's plan, we're just too dumb to figure it out. Kinda covering all the bases is B.S.
So much for being grounded in reality.
