As a muslim,I use tasbih/prayer beads for recitation/zikir.In zikir we remember Allah the only one God by saying some of God's characteristics such as subhanallah (god most sacred ) 33 times, alhamdulillah (all praises only to Allah)33 times, allah hu akbar (Allah the greatest) 33 times and la illah hailallah (no other god than Allah) 33 times. We compute it by separating the beads between used and unused for a compution in order to avoid we forget its computation..If we finished to compute it for 33 all beads will be used, because the total of the whole beads in a tasbih is 33.Usually we say it after we finished a praying/worship to Allah and we make an end with a prayer of thanks.for asking God's blessing.

Dear Lord, please forgive me of my sins. I'm sorry for getting caught up in the world and all it's crap. I pray now that you will wipe my slate clean and allow me to start over. Lord, I believe in my heart that you are God and that you died on a cross to save even an insignificant sinner like me. I don't know why you love me, but I'm thankful that you do. Please save my soul from an eternity in hell. Lord I don't want to live another second of my life worrying about silly traditions and ordinances. Live in my heart and make me a new person. I love you and thank you
Love,
