Generally, I'd allow around 15-20 grams per kilo of bodyweight as a daily allowance - although plump pups are cute, sometimes it's not the healthiest thing.
Although you want your pup to gain weight, it should be at a moderate pace to allow the joints/ligaments to be strong enough to support the increase in weight.
Therefore a high quality diet (moderate protein and fat levels) is necessary.
Please double check with your vet, as the first few months of your dogs life are really important.

It really depends on the size of your pup.
I have a new Heinz pup 11lbs and i have to feed him 1 1/2- 2 1/4 cups a day.
And she's 9 weeks!

read the bag that the dog food is in. It has weights of different size dogs on it. And it is on the bag how much to feed you dog, that is if you know how much it weighs.If you don't then take him to the vet to be weighed.

ask your veterinarian, dont listen to these people, you will get a thousand answers and most of them are probly wrong, it also depends on what food you are feeding also.
