Well of course my # 1 choice is now or anytime in history, in the Marine Corps.
Second would be one of the Spartans.

I'm happy being in the US Army right now.
For my second choice, I would like to be a member of the 82nd Airborne that jumped into Normandy on D-Day.

I was quite happy being paratrooper in 76th guards airborne division of Russian Federation fighting war in Chechnya

I would most definetly be a medieval knight. Failing that, I would either be Alexander The Great or Hannibal. go the swords!

I do not believe war is a solution to anything. But, for the sake of your question, WW II in Europe. I would have WANTED to fight against Hitler and what he was doing to all those people and communities and lands.

I would be a rifleman in 2/7 Inf. Spanish American war where they earned their name the cotton balers.
