Don`t think so much about it, if u prepared ur presentation well, then get up and give it, knowing u know what ur talking about. That will give u confidence in itself then take a couple of deep breaths and zone in on one person and pretend u r talking just to him/her, just glance around to the others from time to time so as to look like ur talking to the entire group. A famous person once stated, he got over his stage fright by picturing all the people in the audience being nude and maybe that would work for u too.
Remember few people r born speakers, most everyone gets nervous addressing a crowd, but the more u do it, the easier it gets. Practice at home on ur family or friends, they will tell u how ur doing or try looking in a mirror while going thru ur presentation.
Just try not using the very common mistake of the phrase..uh..
before every sentence. Now go do ur thing and good luck.

Well to get over this condition for good, i think you need to find out what is making your nervous in the first place. Also you need to handle your stress a lot better then you are, and you need too bring up that self esteem of yours, even if you do not think that is a issure, cause it sure is if you are that nervous. A lot of people do things to help them not to be nervous before they give an presentation, but what you really would like is to get over it for good. That would be the best bet, and the way i would go if i was in your shoes, so why not get intouch with those feelings you are having, and take a good look on how you look at yourself, cause that is all a part of what is going on. You need to work through those issures, even if it may be as small as being laughted out when you were in grade school and getting in front of a classs to give a book report. So work on the real issures,, and you just may find that you will not be nervous the next time you have to give a prestation.

I know what you are going through. I used to hate presentations. I get stage fright. Some actors get stage fright. The most common prescription drug for stage-fright is propranolol. (It is an old drug often prescribed to alleviate heart palpitations. It is known as a "beta blocker". It is antagonistic to adrenaline which is what causes stage anxiety or stage fright). It does not dull your mental abilities nor make you tired or sleepy. It makes you just not as scared. And it is not addictive and has few side-effects. Talk to your doctor about it.
Many people have speech anxieties or performance anxieties. A few lucky people enjoy public speaking. To find out why some individuals love public speaking while others fear it, may be interesting, but rarely useful. The way to overcome it is to do it over and over again. Learn not to fear it if not learn to enjoy it.
But yes, think positively and PRACTICE. Practice reduces some fear and reinforces familiarity. In my first speech, I shook like leaf, but the words came out and before I knew it, I was done. Thirty years later, I still practice, I still get stage-fright before the presentation if I don't take a propranolol tablet an hour before, but now I sometimes enjoy the presentation afterwards. I enjoy the applause and the sense of accomplishment.
Good luck.
*** On other answers: Xanax is an anti-anxiety drug similar to Valium and Librium. Although it relieves anxiety, it also makes people sleepy, sluggish, and "spacy". It can also be habit forming.
I do like the idea of having sex before the presentation. I don't care whether it helps my presentation or not.

sugar is the worst thing to calm. Camomile is great, so too is the Chinese Herb Tang Keui, I gave a presentation in front of 16,000 approx Herbalife Supervisors in Thailand at an HOM. I fear no stress but enjoy the excitement in being motivated. Stress can be healthy, worry is a fear of what others might think, you to practice focussing. B12 and B6 or a general Executive anti stress like Blackmores sell is great, but I can sell you Tang Kuei a superior Chinese Herb from our multi billion dollar company Herbalife. Good luck in your presentation I can tell you what quantity for taking in Herbalife but not the other products.

Map out a whole scenario in your head POSITIVELY (like how you want the event to run) and if anything can happen, it might, so be prepared for any loopholes or last minute buggers and make sure you're well equipped to handle them.
Lastly, if you've got stage fright, try picturing ur audience NAKED, or at least in a funny/awakard situations like them sitting on a towliet bowl, ie, so it will be less intimidating.

Well, if you only need something temporarily, try Kava Kava in the tincture extract. I take about 30 drops and it really works! I only use it for the rare times when something is going to really make me nervous. Oh, the herb Hops works well too but Kava Kava is the best for a nervous situation.

Go in with a full stomach, maybe a little alchol in your system may help. Have sex before it. Also practice in front of people you know who will mess with you, while you practice, thatll prepare you for the worst.
