I would start by contacting your local volunteer center. They have the resources to connect you with volunteer opportunities that match your specific interests. Here's a link to the volunteer centers in your area:

Volunteer centers provide one-time, short-term, and long-term volunteer opportunities. They typically work with many different non-profit agencies in your local area, so they may be able to find you an opportunity near your home.
Good luck!

At 1pm 1 of their reps will be standing on the wooden front porch with the wheelchair acess at Mid Ohio Psychological Services in Lancaster Ohio he will be wearing a dark blue denim dress shirt black pants brown workboots ,black sunglasses and a tan trenchcoat his name is Wolf he has an appointment there today...

Contact your local Social and Rehablilitation (welfare) Office.
The Rehabilitaion Coordinators work daily with the Blind and some of them may actually BE blind and able to put you directly in touch with who you are seeking.
Also your local eye doctors & Lyons Club who especially collect used eyeglasses for those who cannot afford them.
Good Luck!

When I was young, my mother and I went to a nursing home every week to read to a blind woman. We set it up through the nursing home. Do you have a nursing home or retirement community near your house that you could call?
