I am sure many Christians are praying for Dawkins soul. It is, after all, their fundamental duty to ensure they can get as many people to subscribe to the Christian point of view, and then as a result, have them attain eternal salvation. Its odd how evangelization and the spiritual quest have become akin to keeping a quota, where the person with the most souls saved has a greater bounty in heaven. It seems to almost cheapen the spiritual experience. Its no wonder so many Christians are willing to employ mendacious practices in order win the “lost”.
The likelihood of a conversion by Richard Dawkins to Christianity is very unlikely. His views on not only the falsehood of the Christian faith, but also on how it degrades the human spirit to succeed, how it subverts rational discourse, and how it has obstructed moral progress makes him probably the least likely academic to be swayed to the Christian side. His mind is of such strength and resilience, that he, like Bertrand Russell and Einstein before him, will go to his deathbed spurning any notion of a personal God.
I think many fundamentalist Christians would love to see his conversion, if not for the spiritual brown points it will get the converter in heaven, for the sheer intellectual power that he can offer the Christian right, assuming he were to employ his vast knowledge to defend Christianity.
To these delusional Christians who think this is possible, I say don’t hold your breath - unless of course you want to die of asphyxiation right now and go to heaven.

I think there are two possible answers here.
On the surface:
1. Fundamentalist Christians are praying for his soul in the hopes that he will come to their side, take up their point of view, and defend it with his intellectual prowess. (Ok, so maybe that's overdone, but you know they want a conversion, or at least for him to play nice with their belief system)*
*Note: Fundamentalist Christians also wished for the deathbed conversion of Carl Sagan some years ago. It never happened.
Below the surface:
2. Fundamentalist Christians are secretly hoping that Dawkins will roast in hell, so that when they reach the pearly gates, smug and sinless, they can give him a smile and say "I told you so."
Fortunately, neither will ever become reality.

The Bible on no account says if 2 or human beings ask God for some thing that he will do it. Christians could pray for Richard Dawkins, yet his will is what must be broken down. Dawkins is customary with of adequate of Christianity to opt for it if he needs, yet he for sure would not opt for Christianity. it rather is as much as Dawkins to make the alternative as there is unfastened will.

The Catholic Church prays for all the Richard Dawkins' of this world every time a mass is celebrated. We always pray that men like him will come to a knowledge of God and accept him.
The Church prayed for the conversion of Russia and the downfall of Communism. The prayer was granted. Who knows, Mr. Dawkins might come to a realization that God really exists just like many scientists.
May the Lord's peace be with you!

There are no doubt some foolish people who would do so. But they are unwilling to comtemplate the fact that Dawkins is right. The believers, having made up their minds, are uninterested in being confused by anything as inconvenient as a fact.

Haha... Richard Dawkins is #6 out of 7 of his scale - #7 being gnostic atheist.
There is no way he'd ever become theist. Especially at his age and intelligence.

I pray he will audit an undergraduate level class in philosophy of religion, sociology of religion, or philosophy of science if he continues to write books on the subject. It will spare him more embarrassment in the academic community, even if the atheist plebs like those here will lap up any series of brassy fallacies he offers.
