Hi
We are a petrochemical manufacturing facility. While analyzing the 2006 incidents, it occurred that Near miss reporting has reduced by around 100%. It is around 0.8 per company employee as compared to 1.5 per employee in 2005. We need to see our education needs based on the analysis.

I doubt if such numbers would have much meaning. The definition of a near miss varies with the definer. You have made a drastic improvement in your number of near misses as defined by you. What would you learn from the record of others that would alter your present system.

Seems to me that you are on a roll, and should continue what you have been doing. And of course, you should be bragging to your employees about the improvement in safety, and giving them credit for making the system work. I would be interested to know how much improvement has been made in the actual accident rate.
