Well, I just bought a new computer game and instillation went okay (no error messages) but when I tried to play it the CD started up and then the screen went black and then went back to my desktop. Then the CD just completely stopped and I got nothing. I've tried all the troubleshooting you could possibly imagine, but maybe I'm just stupid and am still doing it wrong. Any suggestions will be welcome.

some computer games require alot of system requirement to even run. Games like EverQuest II and CounterStrike Sorce etc, etc, will only run on higher end boxes.

Check to make sure you have the correct system requirements, and if you do you should try reinstalling the software again...

"get someone that know "bios" to help you, just ask anyone that kows computer and ask them, im sure they know what it means"

bios is basic input and output system, and it is a little chip that tells the computer what basic devices are connected to the computer and how they should be treated on startup.... with that said... that is a very bad idea, and also they are not trying to boot off of a disk (which by defalt you would boot cd 1st b4 hardrive anyway)

so yeah,.. just make sure your computer has the right parts so that it will be able to play the game
hope that helps

It may just not be compatible. I've had some trouble, especially with more elaborate games. I assume you've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. I guess you can try the website for the makers of the game...they might have some tips.

Uninstall and reinstall program. Or...
You could try the System Restore which takes you back to a time when your computer was working good. Go To:
start
programs
accessories
systems tools
system restore
This process is completely reversable. And does not remove your personal files. Just go back one checkpoint at a time until your puter is working good again.

Looks like your CD is booting the system!

My guess is that you don't have enough RAM to run the Game!

Please check the configuration for the Game and see if your computer matches.

Since it probably doesn't, please uninstall the game, pronto!

All the best!

Cheers!

TRY TO GO TO THE PROGRAM LIST AND START IT FROM THERE OR PRESS RUN AND ENTER THE EXE. CODE FOR THE GAME AND TRY IT THAT WAY. WHEN YOU HIT START IT SHOULD GIVE YOU A LIST OF THINGS TO CLICK ON. TRY THAT, IF IT DOESN'T WORK THEN YOUR GAMES GOT A GLITCH OR IS NOT COMPATIBLE. SOMEONE MAY KNOW MORE. HOPE THIS HELPS
