You're a smart young lady to take it upon yourself to address this issue on your own at 13.
You already know there is no magic cure: you need to eat less and exercise more.
So try to make the exercise fun....much more fun then eating your favorite foods.
Keep trying new activities until you find something you love. Have you tried taking dance lessons? With a name like born4music that may be the exercise for you. You might just be able to dance your pounds away!
I would also suggest taking on a fun craft project for your quiet moments. It's hard to eat if your hands are busy, at least it works for me.
Also, a stationary bicycle in front of the tv works wonders. You can burn about 100 calories every 10 minutes if you go at it. So make a deal with yourself: I can watch tv if I peddle away.
You need to have raw and cooked vegetables on hand at all times so that you can easily grab for them when you're so hungry you can't stand it.
Vegetables are low in calories and very filling and are a food choice you need to make for life.
Frozen vegetables are easy to prepare. The instructions are on the bag. Cook them early in the morning and then refrigerate so that they are always on hand.
Born4music, you have already taken a step in the right direction just by posting this question. You're already on the right tract!! Keep up the good work. I'm sure you have everything it takes to to reach your goals and I wish you the very, very best.

also stay away from potatoes and white flour of any kind. Sounds like just starch but what it does is turn into sugar. Get a Heart Smart book and read up on the kinds of food you need. It isn't easy but once you learn to eat healthy it becomes a way of life and you don't miss the bad stuff. Good Luck!!!

start with daily walks. do some stairs. during your walk, try and jog a little, then walk until your heart rate returns to normal. then jog a little again. keep doing this to increase your indurance.
your weight is how it is because of your eating habits. look to include a lot more fruits and vegetables in your diet. the key is BALANCE. before you eat anything, ask yourself "am i really hungry or am i just eating out of boredom or habit?". this is helped me cut down on my snacking.
if you're really serious about this, talk to your mom about going to see a dietician. having an expert help you plot out a meal and fitness routine can go a long way. good luck with this and i hope you lose the weight you want!

Given your age and the amount you need to lose, I suggest you talk to your doctor before embarking on any diet or exercise regime. Good luck! :)

cut out all junk food, most fats, eat veggies, raw fruits, and lean broiled or baked meats, and low fat dairy products. keep your intake of carbs low but eat one slice of whole grain bread a day or one bran muffin. no sugar of any kind.

a balanced diet, and excercise. Do fun stuff, like bike rideing or running or something fun that makes you move and it won't feel like excercise.
