God punished Adam and Eve only for a single sin they commited which was eating the forbidden fruit. God sent them away from paradise for a single crime they commited. How could that God forgive all your sins? Even Hitler was forgiven by God and he is in heaven right now just because he was a Christian and was baptized.

Why is it that God has become so kind?

You are not God, so how is it you know where Hitler is at?

God told Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit of just one tree. Did they listen? No. Was He supposed to reward them? No. Was a way devised that they AND we can be forgiven and go to Heaven? Yes. That's what Jesus did for us. It's up to us to accept what He did and live according to it. I don't know if Hitler was a Christian or not. Did his actions show that he was? No. Like the old saying goes..."Actions speak louder than words". Hitler may have said he was a Christian but his life style shows that he wasn't.

1. You can't eliminate the consequences of sin even if you are forgiven. Adam and Eve ate fruit which effected a change on their bodies, making them mortal.
2. Because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we are all able to repent and be counted worthy of forgiveness. God by Himself does not forgive sins - we have to go through Jesus Christ as our Advocate with the Father. If God forgave sins simply because people asked, He would cease to be God. There is a set consequence to sin, and we are unable in and of ourselves to redeem our own spirits. But Christ's sacrifice satisfied all the forces in the universe, so that if we call upon that Atonement, God is able to extend mercy to those who are repentant, and we become sanctified by the spirit of Christ and the Holy Ghost.
3. Faith without works is dead. Even if Hitler were baptized a thousand times, he could not go to heaven or any level of it until he went through the repentance process, which in his case would definitely take quite a lot longer than the majority of people. My guess, and this is strictly a guess, is that he is still in that process. When you study the repentance process in detail, it becomes more amazing, and the Atonement of Jesus Christ is more important than any event in history. Have a happy day, and I send you a gummy bear.

God did forgive Adam and Eve but the consequences were still to be in force.
their disobedience allowed mankind to be enslaved to fear, and death.

its questionable about Hitler. he could have lied. he could of said the appropriate religious words and gone through the appropriate rituals and still not have a change of heart.
we dont know that he ever sought forgiveness at his death. no one knows but God.

anyone who loves God would love those who love God. and the Jews (for the most part - some are atheist) love God and seek to obey Him and His laws.

why has God become so kind?

God has always been and always will be. that grace is more profound to mankind since the sacrifice of His Son Jesus on the cross.

God did not condemn Adam and Eve to hell, he was very specific on what the result of rebellion was - labor on the land, pain in childbirth, etc. God began to work out the forgiveness of Adam and Eve immediately. That process took thousands of years (two thousand if you use traditional dating) and involved preparing a place and tradition in which the atonement could be made. Once the atonement was made it became available to "the righteous" of all time.

Now baptism does not guaranty one a place in heaven, remember that Judas was baptized and clearly not forgiven his sin, so I would not be too quick to put Adolf there.

So God was kind then, is kind now.

Interesting thing about "forgiving all our sins", It seems that if one repents of sin one earns a place in "the kingdom of heaven" but are rewarded "according to your deeds". So condemnation is avoided but you have to prove yourself worthy of small things on earth to be rewarded with big things in heaven.

Hitler was guilty before the Lord, and so am I, and so are you, and so was Adam. I think we have the same NT God as the OT. Some things have been shifted within the law, but the law is still there. Paul defends this in his letter to the Hebrews, you may want to read through this book.

During the era of Adam and Eve, there was no means of forgiving a sinner (other than by sacrifice). But once Jesus came to earth,he paid for everyone's sin with his blood.Hence the sinners are in a position to be forgiven!

With every choice comes a consequence. The choices of Adam and Eve lead to their consequence (having to leave the Garden of Eden). This does not mean that he did not forgive them.

When we make bad choices, we have their respective consquences...cause and effect is universal.

Also, just because someone is baptized does not mean that they will naturally be forgiven of all their sins. (In my system of beliefs, any way).

I agree with the man who said "... So its not just a single sin and he did forgive them, but he punished them for their transgression."
AND HOWEVER HItler I do not believe hes in heavan he committed SUICIDE and just because you repent get baptized and filled with the holy gohst dosent mean your going to heaven you have to live right and he wasnt living according to Gods word or following Christ a true meaning of a so called christian.

The story of Adam and Eve is a parable, in my opinion. It is set up to show "the sins of the father." These sins are those "committed" by our parents. Their behaviours are passed to us. We will repeat them if we do not see them. Once you see something for what it is, you are brought out of your "eden." Life is not what it was because you "know better."
But with knowledge comes great responsibility. The choice to commit the "sin" or not is yours.

God warned Adam and Eve clearly. They paid by going through a life of pain and work. However, because God loved us so much he send his only son (Jesus Christ) to die for our sins. God forgives us only by accepting Jesus Christ as our Saviour. Than we can ask him to forgive our sins and help us have an ordered life. God is kind because he loves you and wants you to be in heaven with him.
