With upper respiratory infections, cats loose their sense of smell and often stop eating because they judge what's food by smell mainly. They just can't tell its food because they can't smell it.

What I do us get them canned food and gently push their faces to the food, smearing a little on their lips so they can taste it.

Same goes for water,incidentally.

Good luck and I hope your cat feels better soon!

This cat needs your help, not your hostility. Imagine having an enourmous giant sticking a syringe in your mouth and forcing stuff down your throat. You'd be afraid too. That is your cats perspective. Have you ever once considered your approach? I'm just curious, are you on drugs because you dont' seem stable? If you are, you need to turn your cat over to a shelter where caring people can nurse it back to health. When a cat stops eating, its because it is not well. I'd be stressed out around you too. Take a look at your mind, man. It isn't your cat that's the problem.

Hey, your cat is ill, and has lost her sense of smell and taste, try going back to the chicken and water until she is cured completely.
It takes time to cure the cat from the sickness she has, and rather force feed her than have to lose her
