I love the nude beach and haven't gone to a "prude" beach for the past 4 years. Nudity is the most appropriate and logical way to enjoy the beach...plus, tan lines really suck and look ridiculous.
Having said that, a nude beach is not a place for sexual acting out; it's a place to enjoy being naked with others who feel the same way. I won't deny that there's not an element of sexual feeling that comes from being naked in the company of other attractive naked people, but that's a normal reaction and certainly not one of major importance. We're not naked for sex...we're naked to enjoy being naked. It's always sensual, but rarely sexual...and there is a difference that everyone should be aware of.
Guys who've never been to a nude beach sometimes do get hard, simply by being naked around so many naked girls. It's something they've never experienced and it's a natural bodily reaction on their part. If that happens to you, simply roll over on your stomach or jog into the water until it passes. We (girls) have seen it before, and unless you're playing with it or otherwise acting inappropriately we're not offended by it. Just remember not to act like a perv and you'll be fine.
Have a great day...you'll both love it!

Most nude beaches and other nudist facilities do not allow sex. Even if there is no hard (no pun intended) rule against it, it will certainly be frowned upon. Nudism is about the wonderful feelings of freedom from clothing, it isn't about sex. Sex is something that should be private between you and your wife--no one else wants to see it.
Once you go to a nude beach you'll quickly see that it isn't at all sexually charged and not arousing. True, human nature dictates that sometimes things just happen, but for the most part, once you get used to being naked around other naked people, becoming hard will be the farthest thing on your mind.

I generally go to private clubs and resorts alone. I've only been to one place that required me to be accompanied by a female. Generally, I will phone or email the place I wish to visit ahead of time regardless of the attendance policy. I've never been told I could not come alone (except for that one place.) Yes, some places have "single male" quotas and policies, but generally they are not followed, especially on slow weekends and mid-week. As for beaches, most are public, so you can go by yourself without issue. I had been going to nude swimming holes with friends for several years before my first solo trip to a club. The first club I went to alone was The Well at Brush Creek in Colorado. I was working out west and didn't know a lot of people, so a solo mission it was. After a brief but stern reading of the rules by Grover the manager, I paid my $25 and went to the pool area. A locker room was available, but I chose not to use it since it looked like everyone else just stripped near a chaise lounge and claimed their spot. The Well is a large free-form pool of hot spring water. There was the pool, a concrete deck, a small cabana, and not much else. There were maybe six couples and another 8-10 men scattered around the pool and sun deck. I kept to myself for about an hour and just worked on my tan and relaxed by floating in the pool. I tried the "hot tub" part of the pool after an hour and easily made conversation with the folks there. I camped out there that night too as were a few others and we grilled some dinner and played water volleyball until about 10pm when Grover decided to go home for the night and asked us all to vacate the pool. I liked the Well enough that I went back there several times during the period I was out west. To be honest, it was really easy to be nude in front of complete strangers. There was no pressure to impress or live up to someone's standards. Just relax and be yourself (unless you normally are a butthead...then act differently.) Have Fun!

I never went to a nudist resort or beach and it would never interest me. It never occurred to me that nudist beaches allow sex. I thought people who had sex on the beach were just freaks who would do it anywhere regardless of it being nudist or not.
Is your wife okay with you being turned on by other women? That's really freaky, people like you probably believe in wife swapping which is gross. Why can't you people be happy with what you have at home...?

No sex on such a place!
I went on a nudist beach and seriously it is not erotic so you don't get hard-on!
And watching people should not be the main puspose of you going there. It should be for freedom and well-being...

Yes, I have, and no, there isn't any sex going on there. In fact, there's just a whole lot of old men with very low hanging "satchels" (if you get my drift.)
It wasn't a very fun experience.
