He does exist. There are so many things that PROVE that God exist. Read the bible and see all the wonderful things HE has done for us. Read closely and you will see that no mere man could have wrote all that information down, it had to be inspired. Keep praying. God is listening.

Think about faith. You have more than you realize. When you go to your light switch you may not think about it but are you sure the light will go on. When you go out to start your car and turn the key are you sure your car will start. People do things like this all the time but don't associate it with faith. But there faithful these thing will work. As to your not believing in God I oft times struggle with this also. I have been a christian since 1995 and still although less and less but still at times question God's existance. I have found the more I read God's word that it's easier and easier to see his devine intervention in our life. I read once where our consience is a realization that God is real. For he stated he'd put his laws in our heart. Your feeling of guilt is evidance that you know right from wrong. But it's not always easy to do what is right. Read in romans about pauls struggle with this. Its in Romans chapter 7. Also pertaining to your conscience remember these verse's.
Rom 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
Rom 2:15 Which show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
Take care and God Bless you and your understanding of his word.

This has to be one of the biggest unanswered questions in the history of mankind. Does God exist? There are many theories supporting the claims that God does exist, also many more against the existance of God. It is something that will never be proved or disproved. It is completely upto the individual whether they follow a religion and believe in a God. If you take comfort from following a religion and take comfort from prayer then continue doing so.
At the end of the day, you shouldnt feel guilty about questioning the existance of God, nor is it wrong to question his existance. Each individual has their own free will and will believe what they want to believe.

If your still unsure, look more indepth at both sides of the argument, Bible/Religion Vs Science/Evolution and draw your own conclusions.

Religions misunderstand it when they read that God made man in his Image.Examples:When God made a black man does it mean Gods black?Or when God made a deformed man does it mean that Gods deformed? When God makes man white ,mexican ,german ,chinese ,and so on and so forth does it means this is what God is?God does claim to be the Creator of all.So therefore he created all in his image.Meaning in his Minds eye.If you understand what Im getting at.Maybe men did look like apes back then but that doesn't mean that God didn't treat them as according to scripts.Religions don't like to believe this sorta thing. But just remember how Great God is.He created the heavens and the whole universe with many beings.Jesus did say he's not of this earth .He is from the heavens that God created for us.As he pointed to the skys....I'm not saying that Jesus is an alien.Alein simply means stranger.Maybe some can't fathom Jesus as being this huge.I can.God has talked to many things different then us like angels,Satan, demons, and many more beings that we know nothing about so why not different beings that have evolved through evolution?

First, there is no evidence to prove god is not real, but to prove that everything attributed to god has a natural non-supernatural explanation.

Second, if you have doubts or do not believe, it is because you are using your brain and are trying to find the truth, not just sitting back and believing what someone else tells you. Whether god exists or not, you can not be judged badly for thinking and learning.

My suggestion? Think. Just think about things. Ask questions,a nd try to answer them. Learn.

It's normal to feel guilty about such things as you describe. The guilt is a reflex that you've been taught, probably since childhood. It's not an indication of anything real. As you learn more and think more, the guilt and fear will pass. Try to engage your curiosity, rather than worrying about it.

On one hand, if there is a god, he gave you a brain that is capable of such thoughts for a reason. Use it! A loving god wouldn't begrudge you the use of your mind.

On the other hand, if there is no god, you may come to a number of important realizations about the true nature of the universe.

If you feel guilt when you go against God's will then that is a very clear indication that you believe in God.

We all go against God's will. Only one perfect person was ever born and He gave His life so that you and I could live eternally by his side if we only believe.

Find a pastor to talk to and counsel with. We are all confused at times and just need a little positive guidance. If you are not satisfied with the first pastor you talk with keep searching until someone can answer your questions.

Good luck on your quest and God Bless!

You are at the beginning of wisdom. The measure of wisdom is to believe nothing without evidence. People have been trying for 2500 years to prove the existence of god, and nobody has come close to doing so -- or, for that matter, disproving it. It follows from the latter that any theory of god can have no consequences in the real world: all such theories are useless. For much more on this, see:

I know how you feel. Its so human that we sometimes think that God is not there. But its God's spirit that we feel guilty, so that we can get close to Him.
In my college days and youth, I knew God was there but manytimes got carried away with the world and there was no time for God. It ended up making my heart's condition worse and no real joy.
But when I acknowleged God and that He has to really exist as much as I exist just because something supernatural which determines my birth, my death and everything around, it took me closer to God. But there were many trials/situation to face but with God's help I have overcome.
I asked and have received Holy Spirit annointing and now I know for sure How much true God is - than I had ever imagined.
So I encourage you to search the truth about God, God will surely see your heart's desire.
