very few Christians approve of what the crusaders did, or the witch trials or what the Spanish did in South America when they colonised it. Christians should be judged individually on whether they follow the teachings of the Bible or not shouldn't they?

Well, the problem comes when a Christian is telling a non-Christian about how great they are and how bad the non-Christian is, it tends to be easier to shut them up by mentioning the Crusades. A lot of Christians will say completely stupid things like "Christianity is a religion of love and peace and (some other religion) is awful and violent." completely ignorant of or choosing to ignore the past. The idiots tend to yell the loudest so they become the poster children. Most Christians assume that all pagans are the same, or that all atheists are the same, or even that all pagans AND atheists are the same. Its kindof a human failing.

a number of them are jerks through fact they think of that absolutely everyone who's a follower of Christianity is a deluded fool (i'm speaking relating to the undesirable atheists right here). i've got come for the time of extremely various those human beings on the internet who generalize and act like entire jackasses. then lower back, some who act hateful in direction of Christians have experienced hate or prejudice from them. It relies upon. some are recommend through fact of mistreatment, and a few are recommend for no reliable reason. some atheists do unlike Christians through fact of what they do and with reliable reason. properly, there are undesirable human beings in each team, so undesirable atheists or undesirable Christians being around does not incredibly marvel me.

I'm one of Jehovah's Witnesses and YES we are Christian (4 all those who wonder). Not to toot our horn or anything but we actually can say we are Christian since we follow what the Bible and Jesus command. It is rather annoying when pple sum US up by comparing us to other "Christian" faiths. After really getting to se us and be with us, one really sees that we stand out and are not hypocritical. I don't mean to "dog" other pple but as I always say "there are good people in all religions but NOT good in all religions." SOME of the other Christians are good nice pple BUT it all goes back to the leaders (Pope, Cardinals, ANY Clergy) And if they're molesting kids & NOT practicing what they preach AND it is covered-up......well...that pretty much throw's their "religion" out the window as having any truth to it.

I think that all christians are the same by the fact they all believe in different things. Penacostals believe in the holy ghost and speaking in tongues, Other's like Baptists and Nazerine do not, just to name one. No christian goes strictly by the bible they cut and paste what they want to believe in doctrines that, if they didn't know, Jesus spoke against. In fact my mom who was raised in the Church of God once asked her Nazerine Pastor why they didn't believe in speaking tongues and to show her where in the bible it said not to. All he could do was show her the Nazerine Doctrine. And to be quite honest this is one reason i left christianity behind.

I agree with that...I'm a Gnostic Christian. I believe in God and Jesus, but do not adhere to dogma. All of the negative people on here assume I'm a bible thumping Christian.

Lack of knowledge and no it's not anyone's place to judge anyone else. Christians are just as individual as anyone else.

The Mormons call Christ Lord--the Moonies call Christ Lord, the JWs call Christ Lord, the Catholics call Christ Lord--etc--etc--yet we know they disagree violently with each others doctrine. In fact thousands of different Christian tribes disagree with each other--over the trinity concept--over what one must do to be "saved"--over interpretations of text--etc--so those who assume Christians are all the same, really hasn't put much thought into it.--:]

We assume that all Christians believe in the fairy tale known as God. That's why we assume you're all the same.

Do you assume that all Muslims are the same??? Do you think they are all terrorists or do you judge them individually?
