Garnier Fructus Long and Strong Conditioner worked wonders on my hair. At first I thought it was too greasy but then I realized that my hair was just that dry. I have been using it for 2 months and my hair is so soft an frizz free!

I'm currently in cosmetology school, and I have dry hair too. The most important thing is to not wash it every day. I just in the shower everyday, but I only shampoo every other day. I follow that shampoo with conditioner, then I use leave-in conditioner after I get out of the shower. On the days in between, I deep condition. Also, if you flat iron or use heat on your hair make sure you have a good heat protectant spray. (I use Ion) The best thing would to use as little heat as possible, and make sure that you don't rip your hair when you comb especially when wet, and towel blot your hair, don't rub it with the towel.. When your hair is dry, it's easy to break off. As far as what products to use, avoid anything that contains sulfur (It really dries out the hair) . I would suggest spending some extra cash on professional products. Speak with your hair stylist about which products to use on your hair. I would suggest Paul Mitchell or Chi (I use both product lines and love them!) Hope this helps!

The condition known as split ends, technically known as trichoptilosis, occurs when the hair has been stressed too much and the stress frays the ends of the hairstrand. Common causes of trichoptilosis include damage from heat styling, bleaching, coloring, and use of inferior haircare products. Although some products claim to repair split ends, this just isn't true. The only way to get rid of split ends is to cut them off.
Healthy hair is one of the biggest factors in looking beautiful. Many of us spend years unnecessarily damaging our hair and are left with thin, brittle broken strands.
Most young women take their naturally healthy hair for granted. Be forewarned: it will not support you through serious abuse! The passage of time and lifestyle choices can have a big impact on you hair's health.
Things like birth control pills (starting or stopping), alcohol use, smoking and poor nutrition can take a toll on your once youthful mane. Careless brushing, windy convertibles and poorly-made barrettes and accessories will eventually cause breakage. Hair dryers, irons and other heated appliances will take a toll as well.
Save them for special occasions and find an everyday style that is kind to your hair. Stay alert for any early changes, such as dull hair that once was shiny, patches of thinness or broken strands. If your hair is falling out, don't delay taking action.
Consult a physician to rule out any obvious disorders that may cause the loss, but don't expect a doctor to solve your hair loss dilemma. Unless they find it's tied to a more serious ailment, many of them won't warrant your condition serious enough for further investigation.
You may have to do research on your own. The Internet is a good place to start, but avoid the many false hair claims and scams you're bound to come across.
I have found that Vitamin B12 can greatly improve the appearance, and fullness, of hair. You must be patient, though, as hair changes that start internally can take up to a year to become visible.
Hair color and other chemical processes may add short-term beauty at long-term cost. If you are anxious to color your hair, temporary color is a good start. If you do opt for permanent color, be sure to counteract its strain on your hair with regular, deep conditioning.
It is possible to regain your healthy head of hair, but you must be honest about your lifestyle and committed to long-term solutions. Your beautiful mane will be a satisfying reward.
Also, don't let anyone tell you what length your hair should be. If you've worked hard for a healthy head of hair and want to show it off, age should not be a deterrent. Contrary to what some stylists will tell you, there are no rules about chopping off your mane after a "certain age". Long healthy hair can feel and look beautiful at any age and with well-cared for hair, so will you.

I USE to have the same problem, from too much styling and dying and straigthening etc. And, I will tell you exactly how to get rid of it. All you need to do, is buy pantene total recovery shampoo and conditioner and use that everythime you shower or bathe or whatever, and then every night or whenever you think about it (at least once a day) spray in dove sheer moisture replenishing mist. works like a charm (:

Herbal Essense works best for dry hair. You can tell the difference right after 2 to 3 times using it. Remember to use both shampoo and condictionor everyday.

The richest hair treatment I recommend is Burt's Bees Avocado pre-shampoo treatment. It can be left in the hair. It works wonders. All the Burt's Bees products that I have tried ( many many of them) have been really excellent and I recommend them highly for rich emolients and gentle care for very sensitive skin.

Fudge Unlead Conditioner is REALLY good.
I bleached my hair 4 times,
[To get it blonde so that I could put blue through it],
And then came on here and asked if my hair would go into really bad condition..
Everyone said yes.
But is didn't.
My hair is in like the best condition ever,
And it's all thanks to Fudge.
It's great.
