Well, you sure got the stereotypes right.

not really. i don't believe people should discover some universal truth which makes them right. According to the Bible, no one is perfect like God and therefore not even we can be completely right.
on the other hand, i don't believe that atheists should think christians are just plain stupid or victims of infantile indoctrination either.
I think both sides should respect each other, because let's face it: no one is going to convert because of Yahoo! Answers.

I don't think I'm smarter than Christians. No.
Infact, I have to disagree with you. Childhood indoctrination (which is, I agree, the cause of most religiosity) does not necessarily lead to a low IQ. This point is nuanced point: the fact that highly intelligent people don't UTILIZE their intelligence with regard to a particular topic doesn't make them unintelligent.
----
I'll give you an example: My dad had a double major in physics and math from a school that compared with ivy league ones. And he was horrible with estimating how long he'd take on anything from paying bills, to changing a car's motor oil. He simply never applied his intelligence to life's common tasks.

True... I'd like to add to that statement however..
Agnostics.. we think both christians and atheists are arrogant for thinking they know the answers to everything. We think people have a hard time admitting ignorance no matter what they believe... and its funny to see people draw "facts" from belief into pseudo-knowledge without evidence to make it real knowledge.

This should get some entertaining replies.
I don't think I'm smarter then others based on my belief system, or lack thereof. I think I am smarter then others after meeting them and gauging whether or not they have any brain capacity.
It's elitist to say...but most people are very very stupid.

We atheists are not necessarily smarter than Christians. We've simply realized that belief in God is illogical and we refuse to serve an invisible protector any more.
We've grown up.

The 'mysteries' of God are revealed to those who walk in the Spirit. Many Christians do not. And those who do not know God, cannot know the 'mysteries' Therefore, we do know things that the natural mind cannot understand, no matter how hard they try! We do not think that we know everything!

yep, and you forgot to include that Christians are running on a wild theory and atheists believe in theories that are widley based with evidence and facts that help it's amount of fact.
