I really want to re-do my room. I'm going into high school and it looks like a room for an eight year old. I have a design, and know what furniture I want, but I don't have enough money. Any tips on how to raise some?

Do some research on the stuff that you want to buy and make sure you look in different stores to see if they have the same think for less than what the other stores have it for
that will help you a lot" i know because i do the same think for a lot of stuff ( one time i wanted a new TV and i went to wal-mart and they had the one i wanted for $500 and something dollars and i made somemore research and i finally found the same TV for only $250.00 i saved 250.00 half of what i had seen it for.. i but i went back to wm to see if they had came down and no they wore the same. :)

or just ask your parents if they are willing to help you

Make a deal with your parents saying if you do some extra chores around the house if they will let you redecorate your room so that it is more age appropriate. It also helps if you do you research and get a ball park of how much it will cost to show your parents that you have thought things through!

You should see if there's a way to refinish your furniture or give it life. That is cheaper than buying new furniture. Also, pick a cool paint color or paint the walls different colors.

To raise money, babysit or have a garage sale this summer.
