i met this guy online and it was only text at first, then i got to know him better on the phone(by the way we never met in person). well he said that he wanted us to be friends and maybe more as the weeks go on it felt like he meant it, we talked about meeting and starting from there. but then the calls became less and less and he started to make up things that his company wanted him to stay where he lived,,so i said it wouldnt work out and told him good bye,,i though it ended there, but he phones me tells that he wants to be my friend if we couldn't be a couple,,i agreed and now im confused as to how he expects me to be a friend when i have a hard time being a friend to someone who hurts me and (i told him that too) what should i do?

You sound disappointed, hurt, let down and confused.

This fellow was words on a computer screen and a voice on the phone. You built up expectations and fantasy and when he failed to come through with meeting you, it hurt. You owe him nothing. He has no right to expect anything from you. You have no right to expect anything from him.

You get to choose what to do. If you have high hopes and expectations, you will most likely meet with disappointment. If you wish to persue without expectations and out of curiosity, then you will have more information. If you decide that it's not worth your time to deal with him, then it isn't.

Kind regards

I'm not coming down on you but how can you really expect to know someone and start liking them just over the Internet?People can tell you a bunch of anything, that's how sexual predators persuade little children.just be careful, but how long have you known this guy for him to hurt you?If I were you, the next time he decides to call I would tell him to be real with you.Because you don't want to be wasting your time. And honey real friends don't hurt you so remember that!

You dont even really know this person. Just tell him you dont want to be friends or anything any leave it at that. Delete his email address, or block him and forget it.
