Why did God cast satan from heaven when he could have easily have destroyed him instead?

God is love. Also remember that everything is made out of energy. Both living and non-living. And energy can not be destroyed. It can only be converted from one form to another. Even angels are made out of energy.

God could have destroyed Satan, but what would that have proved? Satan has questioned God's authority. Satan has claimed no one of freewill would love or serve God. So if God destroyed Satan, wouldn't that be the same as saying Satan is right. Satan will get what is coming to him when the end comes....DEATH.

Because Satan was Zotar's lesbian lover and God wanted Zotar to hear Satan's despondent cries for eternity. Why Zotar? Because Zotar was the first son of Woody Johnson God's old high school rival. God didn't enjoy being back-up QB behind Woody.

But he graduated, and led a good Mormon life. In fact, God's adolescent trials prepared him to be a hard-working devout Mormon. In time he rose in the church, reached the 7th level quicker than Woody Johnson. After dying, God received his own planet, like any 7th level Mormon would. With his new omnipotent powers he unleashed the wrath that Woody Johnson and his spanw so justly deserved.

Like all beings created by God, they possess God's gift of Free Will. Unlike humans, angels that rebelled against God will likely have no atonement through Christ's sacrifice. This is because they *knew* God exists, while humans must rely on a rational faith for this knowledge.

God's gift of a soul to angels and to humans was borne of Love, so He is not going to ever annihilate anyone so created. From His love, God will respect the freely chosen paths taken by these beings and grant them their wishes at the time of Judgment. One needs a solid education in theology to understand the full treatment of this issue, but the simple version is that God created Heaven and Hell out of love.

Satan raised a question about Gods right to rule Adam and Eve.
His sovereignty was at stake. So he has given satan a chance to see if he can rule mankind better. Of course he cannot. So Jesus will bring mankind and the earth back to the original purpose of perfection..then hand everything back to our father Jehovah.

Coz, once upon a time Satan was one of the closest angles to God and God does not destroy things that are close to him he gives them another chance, gives them a long rope, & Satan's got a real long one from God. HE did it also thinking that someday Satan will realize his mistakes and come back to him, God is always ready to forgive, like the Prodigal Son Story.

because of his refusal to accept the divine nature of man. it is easier to establish the plot line between good vs. evil if there is antagonist. It also illustrates the point that God can forgive even the most despicable of creatures. According to the word, Satan's day is coming and he will burn in the lake of fire like all the others that chose to follow him.

This is a dream I had once (I'm male in this world)...

I was a maiden in the presence of God, and knew not anything for myself except that God was, is, all-perfect. Having been shown in this spiritual perception of the dream a box filled with sand, I was immediately, and uncontrollable, sent spinning into the sand/dust which rose up to meet me in a lustful embrace, and the figure which arose from the lust I knew immediately, as conferred, in this allusion was Satan.

When I awoke, as myself, still within my dream, I was given the knowledge that I was in the role of Gaia, the full spiritual seed of the earth, and me, now myself again was being shown the splendors of what has resulted from this lustful union. One of the things from that one spirit was all the life on earth engendered. An evidencing gladness radiated through the world for the joy of the advancing state of humanity. An example of this was given as (I'm not making this up) a juicer demonstration, to prove how man had advanced to richly nourish himself of the earth, so that he may live a full and energetic life, and enjoy the bounty of self-knowledge and bounty from God.

I also wondered on about how it was possible to live materially as a conscious being to evoke our own power of consciousness to determine our material state, and I tested and fond immediately it possible to change my inability to powers of flight and the like, then doubted, and tried again, in an effort for my thinking to be as the first, and found me unable to be as I thought, so I inquired of this, to my now human form guide. I was given the answer was because I was still in doubt....

So I could give historical proofs of what Satan was, and was not, according to scriptures of Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buhdism and the Baha'i faith, as I am familiar with the use of the term, as translated, in all of them, being a Baha'i myself, the dream taking place before my enrollment, but I think some may find this dream of Satan's apparent reality more personally interesting.
