Use colors you like, and bring those colors into your room with the bedding and window treatments.
Get creative with your walls, either with murals, paint, stencils, stamps. Or hang decorative wall accents, prints or posters.

I'd suggest you go to your local store and buy paint that you would want to paint your room with. You don't even have to hire anyone it's farely easy. I helped paint my grandmas room and it was really easy for my first time. If you mean decorating with posters or something. I'd suggest you to buy teen pop magezines. They have really cool posters. If you want matching trash cans and lamps for your room go to a convenient store like walmart.

First you should plan out what type of look you want then you can figure out what colors you want and furniture you need to get that look. then you need to get the supplies at a paint store!
