Indeed they can and sometimes can become quite disturbing.I've had a reoccurring dream since I was about 6 .I am quite a few years older now. I have two actually that repeat themselves from time to time. One is about a haunted house that seems I can never open the door...I have since opened the door and haven't had that dream again...yet.It was /is a really horrid dream though. The other is too horrifying for me to talk about since it involves some real life trauma ..but I dream of it every 3 or 4 days at least. That one has been happening since I was 6.. so, sorry for the long response but ..:P yes, they can.

Yes, its quite common, if you keep a dream journal (write down your dreams) you'll find that over time you'll remember more of your dreams, ( i remember about 4 dreams a night sometimes)...The repeated dream could be an unresolved issue, or it just may be a pattern forming when your brain is in REM sleep... Talk about the dream with some1 (a friend or parent, counselor etc) you'll find that the dream will often subside...This is actually how Freud found the talking cure... when a women (i forget her name) but she came to Freud and then told him about her reoccurring dream, and the stress it was causing...Then suddenly after talkin about it, and the issues around the dream.. the dream never reoccurred. (simplified version)

Yes. I used to get repeated dreams. Well not really a dream but more like a nightmare. This could mean that you are scared about something or worried. I know that is what happened in my case. Kinda freaky :(

I've had several dreams repeat.... and they still do occasionally. they're never good dreams either. ... usually scary or disturbing. the cool thing is, once you've dreamed the same thing so many times, you kinda learn not to be as scared or disturbed. the sleeping brain is an interesting thing. kinda creepy.

I dont know, do you remember having the same dream for the past couple of nights? I've heard that having recurring dreams is just your brain trying to work something out, trying to get something to make sense. after my dog died, i dreamt about him for like two weeks straight! and each time i dreamt about him, i started to feel more and more at ease with the fact that he was gone.

Well, the level of stress and anxiety you go through each day are some factors of what kind of dreams you have... Also before going to be try reading a magazine instead of watching television.... It is proven the more that you stimulate your mind before going to bed the longer it takes for you to go to bed as well...... good luck... My wife sometimes drinks cold milk as well....who knows... but try something relaxing....

I'm 26 and know what you mean. A few bad reams have re-occured since my childhood. I'm sure it depends on the person but mine are not constant. Where some of them come from I'll never know!
