While both Muslims and Hindus believe in One, the sacred texts from which they derive their understandings, rituals, practices, etc are different.

Muslims follow the teachings of the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) as written in the Qu'ran (Koran).

Hindus most sacred text is the Vedas and Hindus have no single teacher from which the tradition was founded upon.

And though they both believe in the One, their interpretations of their spiritual experiences of the One as well as the rituals, worship, beliefs on heaven, etc..are what differ.

hi.. I don't think much differences should be there if they've understood each other well. If there has to be a difference in opinion, it must be with regard to some religious and traditional ceremonies. The usual custom noticed is that whichever is followed by the husband, in this case, things have more chance of going the Islamic way, though the other situation is also possible. If there is adequate love and understanding and the belief that God is one, there will not be any issues :) And, more so it is a love marriage we're talking of, one of the partners is sure to have thought of little issues which might come their way with regard to traditions and customs! And if not thought, they'll now have to decide which might be a little taxing, but if their love for each other is what they believe in, deciding will be easy! good day.. :)

Hi
This is a good question but controversial.
Ru talking about Hindu people and Muslim. only relegion. We pray to one god but name other. The difference is made by us not by relegion. The thinking differs so most eating habiits customs differ and so there is so called difference.

Altogether there is no difference but vast difference in relegion and thinking making wrong assumptions of whatever is written in the holy books. Not making change as per the change from the olden day to the mordern age.

Hinduism is a polytheistic, Dharmic religion.

Islam is a monotheistic, Abrahamic religion.

It's sorta like asking the difference between black and white.

Really, other than starting in the Eastern Hemisphere, they don't have much in common..

Hindus believe in many gods. They believe in reincarnation and have a caste system.

Muslims believe that Mohamed was the final prophet from the one God. They follow the word or the prophet in the Koran.

Hin' means to remove and 'du' means darkness. In other words, any one who takes efforts to remove the darkness of spiritual ignorance, that is, a seeker, is a 'Hindu'.

The word Muslim means one who submits and implies complete submission to the will of God (Allah).

as a religion it is different, as people everyone is the same.

We should not let religion come inbetween people, keep your religion to yourself. that way the world will be a better place to live in.
