Ideally, for anyone who is anxious to learn, there should be as much information available as is possible. Contrary opinion is extremely valuable in the learning process.
So, I say to those of you who are interested in knowing more about religion that it is a human condition, especially prevalent in those who are in positions of suffering, of deprivation, of indoctrination. People in the 'first world', who generally experience good living conditions, are more and more rejecting the fairy-stories. Except the USA!!! There, there is a paradox. It is a long story to explain why it is so but your history books should enlighten you, provided that the church hasn't exerted too much influence on what can be taught in schools or what can be available in libraries and/or bookshops in your area.

Here is a fact - and it the onus of responsibility of the claimant to provide proof and not the challenger - god does not exist other than in the minds of the deluded.

What are you talking about? Some people are just getting into the word and might get confused?
The truth can be challenged and stand up to challenge, or it isn't the truth.
I'm sure you don't mean; some people are in the early stages of brainwashing, so don't talk to them. Do you?

God's "word"?
Don't make me laugh...
Would it be confusing to the beginners if I explained that it was the reading and really studying the entire bible that I did for years that lead me to the realization that it is not god's word?
Peace

I agree with one of the answers above me. Place someone's supposed truth under the flame. If turns out pure, there could be some merit in it, but it still doesn't mean its the whole truth.

anyone who actually reads the 'word' will get confused, then they seek guidance from the conmen who call themselves preachers and are told how, and why to believe the 'word', instead of using their own minds which was giving to them by the creator
the holy books are nothing but manmade control devices

God says trust no man! You say good words of wisdom by realizing all spirits are not of God. Lean not on your own understanding, but trust in God.
God Bless

I'm sorry for not being careful, are we interrupting the brainwashing?

Well, I'll make sure that I'm more polite. I hate spoiling the indoctrination of innocent folk.

Are they really learning anything if they are only exposed to one side of the story? I think it is called brainwashing when you only teach one side of the story.

Everyone that reads God's word is going to interpret it differently. My advice to you.....don't take anything anyone says on here about the bible seriously. Think for yourself.
