Dog's heat cycle does not realy vary depending on the breed, mainly the size. Smaller dogs can come in as early as 6 months and larger ones up to 14 months and uaually cycle every 6 months after that. But don't breed your dog on her first heat...she is still too immature, good breeders breed when the dog is about 2 when the dog is mature enough.

Around the 8 to 9 month period. Although it is inadvisable to breed them on their first heat since it stunts their growth. Wait till at least the second, and optimally the third heat cycle to avoid this.
