You're absolutely right. Who else, but a fictional character in a book can give you complete recognition for adhering to an antiquated system of belief.

So you think you deserve recognition from some deity for your devotion to him or it? Why? Since all religions are manmade you are devoting yourself to a manmade deity, so don't be surprised when you die and don't have an afterlife.
