I washed my hair right after i got it dyed to get the color a little lighter.... is this ok?

Its fine. The only reason you aren't supposed to wash it is to prevent fading. If you wanted it a little lighter, you should wash it. If your regular shampoo didn't fade it enough, you can was your hair with liquid dish detergent (for hand washing NOT dishwashers) That will fade the color a little more. It won't drastically change the color, just to take the edge off. Be sure to follow up any washing with a deep conditioner.

If you arent supposed to wash it then why do they do it at the salon, the most ridiculous thing I have heard. Once the dye is washed out its washed out. Washing again isnt going to do anything.
I always wash mine the next day to get all the product out, Never been an issue before for me, though its not going to make it lighter. The only way thats going to happen is to give it time.

its fine to wash your hair after a color service,, just use mild shampoo and cond for color treated hair, if your hair color came up a little to dark try using a dandruff shampoo , it will pull some of the color out, but be advised, as your color starts to fade it will start to look brassy,,, good luck

no. you should have not washed it right away, why would you? they didn't just shampoo & condition ur hair for nothing. you're supposed to wait atleast 2 days before you wash it.
