What Causes Dark Under Eye Circles
“Dark rings around the eyes—raccoon eyes—are a hallmark sign of poor sleep. The eyelid skin is the thinnest skin found anywhere in the body, so thin that it’s almost transparent. The darkness under the eye is really circulating blood in the soft tissues beneath the skin. Because lack of sleep affects blood circulation, it’s been theorized that sleep loss causes blood to pool under your eyes, giving you those dreaded dark circles.
Sleep Loss = decreased circulating blood in soft tissues + Delicate skin around eyes = increased dark undereye circles. The good news is that you can reverse this abnormal circulation by getting the right amount of sleep.”
3 Ways To Treat Dark Under Eye Circles
1) you can try a Vitamin K cream, like Vita-K. The American Academy of Dermatologists have said that Vitamin K works on the kind of blood pooling that causes facial bruises. This is very similar to the circulation problem that causes under eye circles. So at least there’s a scientific reason why it might work.
2) Some eye wrinkle creams, like Hydroderm Eye Serum, can provide a temporary tightening and smoothing effect that MAY help minimize the appearance of dark circles.
3) Finally, you can always cover up what you can’t clear up by using a tinted foundation to hide the dark areas.

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

Oil of Olay has an under eye cream that works well. It's called Total Effects Night Transforming Cream. It really works (but it is a little expensive). Dark circles can be caused from a lack of sleep, rubbing your eyes too much or just dead skin. They also appear as a part of getting older.

I've tried everything. If it's just sleep, congratulations, you can get some shut eye and everything will be fine! :)
If you're unlucky like me, it may be hereditary or caused by allergies. Play around with makeup. Green works well on some skin types, yellow better on others. You can get reflective concealer as well. There is also an expensive surgery. I wouldn't buy into the expensive creams that claim to reduce the circles, they don't work (trust me).

Cucumber slices or Cotton dipped in rose water helps to clear this dark circle. Make sure you protect your eyes from strong sun glare by using a good pair of sun glasses. Cold tea bags ,juice of potato also helps .More details and remedies at the link below.

I think you just have to wear a concealer. I saw something on telly the other day that said that there not from sleep deprivation but are raised blood vessels. You can get these gel masks for your eyes that you put in the fridge and wear. There suppose to get rid of them.

May be hereditary. Using a green base makeup under the eyes before your regular makeup helps. I don't know there is anyway to remove them. Hiding them may be the best you can do.
