I've been hypnotized, it's an interesting experience, where your in a different state of mind, or trance as they call it. It's not magical, and you can actually jump out of hypnosis, or chose not to do suggestions made by the hypnotist or therapist.
When i was hypnotized, i was just in a relaxed state, and just in-visioned myself around a bond fire with friends, and feeling the warmth of the flames.... Its strange no doubt..But as to the person who said hypnosis is all fake, she is sadly mistaken, some times hypnotists will be fakes, however surely not all are fake, look up hypnosis on yahoo, and you can find some sites that will induce a trance...

I've been hypontized. I've hypnotized other people. (Mostly women, with my rakish good looks and charm).
Hypnotism is only a state of suspending one's will voluntarily as a byproduct of relaxation. Pop culture has everyone thinking that it is mind-control. It's never that way, where you force someone to do something they don't want to do, that's impossible.
If you've been to one of those hypotism shows, it's all a farce of suspended belief of the audience, giving over their attention to some guy. They are all believing him because THEY WANT TO BELIEVE HIM. Especially the ones who go up on stage. They do all kinds of crazy things, not because they are in another state of consciousness, but because they are trapped. They want so badly to be an example of what everyone wants to see, that they suspend what they want for what the hypotizer wants (who is doing what the audience wants). It's all pretend - it's showbusiness and one of the most immoral (meaning that it is robbing people of the very essence of their being {their will} for the satisfaction and approval of the crowd). It's a metaphor for the pathetic social construct of a high school. Kinda creepy.
I did it once. I went up on the stage for the hypnotist in high school. I wasn't transported into some other world. I had this strong feeling that I HAD to do what the hypotist was suggesting, or I would look stupid. I had to voluntarily suspend my will and give it other to this guy who was making me look stupid. I did it because I thought it was okay, because it really wasn't me doing that. I was wrong - all it turned out to be was me, making a fool of myself because I cared what the people in high school think about me.
That's not really true - I don't want to care what "the crowd" thinks, I don't think anybody does. I decided I would never again suspend who I really was for the opinion of the stupid crowd, who you can never really please anyway. It was a great lesson for me.

Cant be hypnotized if you dont want to be.... nor if you're drunk.

No... i'll never let anyone else control my mind or make a fool out of me. I can do that myself.

Besides... its more fun watching people who are hypnotised or pretending to be.

I don't believe in it it's all fake. I knew this hypnotist once and he invited me to his show. I was sitting in the audience and his assistant came up to me and told me that when Mark (the hypnotist) asks the audience members to volunteer to come on stage that he wanted me to go up. So i did along with about 6 other people. He gave everyone a card and told us to stare at it. When i looked at my card it said "Do everything that i tell you to do." When i looked at everyone Else's card they just had a line with a dot in the middle. I decided to play along and i did what he told me to do. I acted like an idiot but at least everyone had a good laugh. But yeah it's all fake.
