is he growing baby teeth? if he is, that is normal and you need to be very understanding and extra attentive to him. my sis-in-law's son is acting the same way although he has grown some of his baby teeth.. those are normal things but, as i've said, you need to be very extra attentive and understanding to his actions. whenver you eat, try sitting him on your lap and let him eat with you.. ok??
just to make sure, go to a pediatrician and do a general check-up..

sounds like teeth to me
offer him cubes of frozen juice and see if the cool helps.
some teeth hurt like heck pushing through and puts them right off track.
I know it is NOT politically correct now, but when my babies were terribly fussy I would take the empty bottle of brandy that had 2 drops in the bottom (the yearly christmas treat) and rub the gums with a drop. That sometimes helped but I know now there are all sorts of healthier alternatives for that. (PS the kids never drank and are university nerds so it did not damage them much LOL)/
A good teether that can be frozen? just cold stuff and see if that helps him. If he has teeth coming through he would not want much that is hot to eat either.
Depending on the situation, a car ride or a long stroller ride by the ocean usually did the trick. I would just leave her in her seat as often as not because transferring woke her up.
All this was 24 years ago. I would like to think there are other things to try.
Around that age, she would eat NOTHING but avocados, bread and peanut butter. This stage lasted 4 months! Rather than fight with her, not wanting to make food an issue, I fed her these things. I used the best wholesome bread and good quality pj. With her milk, it was a complete protein and no one fought. Again, she suffered no damage and our meals were happier. Then, one night she pointed at what we were eating and that was it for the limited menu.
Of course, there were always the long nights of teething when nothing worked but standing there and rocking. I know this sounds silly, but I miss those days.
When you get frustrated, remember, this will pass.

Maybe he's teething. Offer him some cold treats like milk that's been in the fridge a few minutes. Or, a popsicle or smoothie. It could also just be a phase where he wants his mom all the time. Maybe something happened that freaked him out. A change in the schedule, routine, or a new sitter.
My son got that way when I was pregnant. He's better, but still really clingy. I'm waiting for him to get out of this stage :)

It's a stage, My 13 month old is doing the same thing,
she usually eats everything in sight and runs everywhere,
But as my son did, and my other son, they will quuickly outgrow their fussy stage

I think he's teething, when my daughter went through a really fussy stage she was teething. Try some Baby Orajel or let him chew on a cold towel, it worked for my daughter.

He is probably teething give him some cold icy poles or a soft "rattle" type toy that he can chew on , maybe give him some paracetamol if he is really out of sorts it may help him to feel a bit more "normal". Good Luck

My cousins and my brother did the same thing at this age. They will eat though if it is what you eat. A stage where they want everything mom has and to be with mom all the time.

It might be gas... Has he been introduced to any new foods? It may be as simple as that.
My best wishes. It's really hard at that age(any age) when they just know they hurt, but not why!
Hope everything gets better soon!
