the sound drivers seldom install when you install the system, look to see what the maker is , go to there site see if the driver is there.

Sounds to me like your sound card drivers are not installed. If you actually have your speakers plugged into the right jack (usually the green one) they should work.
Try plugging in a pair of headphones in the same jack to see if the speakers have an issue.

Right click on My Computer, and choose properties, the hardware tab, then device manager button. The sound card should show up in the list with a red x or yellow exclamation point. Right click the device and choose install. Allow the software to look on Windows Update for the driver too.
If the driver still cannot be found, you'll need to find the model number of the device and look for it manually. I'd go to the website for your computer, plug in the computer model number and search for drivers for that computer. They should have drivers you can download and install. At worst, do a search for "specs" for that computer. That will tell you what the model number of the sound hardware is. Then google that model number + device driver download.

You driver did not load.. You have to get the name of your speakers (with model) and go to the website for the speakers and download the driver.. Once you download the driver.. Click on it and you should be in business! Good luck!

Right click, My Computer, select properties. Click the hardware tab, click the ( + ) sign next to system devices, click on system speakers (it should turn blue) . Go to the action tab and click, up-date drivers. Follow the instructions. Good Luck
