i mean like it will make the opposite smile when he/she is reading the message.

I say, just be the person that you are. It always comes with the personality you got. So if being humorous isnt in yours, you will definitely have a hard time getting your message accross. Or you can just put it this way. Strike a conversation and just go with the flow, im pretty sure you will like the result of it more.
