I can only say from my own experience, so if it sounds stupid to you, it probably is.
I get the feeling that God is all about the next step. If you have five issues and can put one aside he is thrilled like you climbed mount everest or something. I know of a guy in rehab from an accident and every little step forward (and this guy was really messed up so it is going to be a long trip) is really a thrill to his family. I am not kidding, "today he was able to put the ice cream spoon in his mouth all by himself" was a major event. Don't get hung up on how far you have to go to be someone else. I will bet you good money that God only looks at that last step and is jumping for joy like you had done a miracle.
This is how I look at my life. It is not about making it to some far off goal in the future, fame, fortune, troops of admirers. It is all about today and doing the next good thing that is in front of me. Just that one thing, something as small as when you pass on a smile or help someone with the smallest thing is a real rush for God. (And let me tell you, I stink at doing big things. I am flat on my face in two seconds every time I try to do something impressive. Maybe that is the thing, God will only help you make one step at a time. Flying is for angels, he wants people to walk.)
I don't know but if you know that God is really thrilled with those little steps maybe you can be glad about them too. Don't worry about where you have been, that's old news and don't worry about where you want to go - life is just too uncertain to plan too far ahead. But you made a lot of little steps and that is what counts. In fact you better stop making steps because God is pretty old and he is going to throw his back out from all that dancing.

I know what you mean, I've felt that way myself a time or two. Fortunately God has much more patience than we can imagine.
It sounds like you have been able to get a couple of things under control but the depression seems to be deeply rooted. The other things are by-products of that.
What you need is the same thing the rest of us need. Simply the infilling of the Holy Ghost. Without the Spirit inside we have no power or ability to overcome anything. Jesus knew that when He said He would send us "the comforter", the Holy Ghost.
Read the second chapter of the book of Acts and pay special attention to the fact that none of the Deciples had any power until they received the Holy Ghost. Take note that even Jesus' mother Mary was there and received the Spirit. And afterwords what happened? Peter went and preached the first salvation message. And what did he say? Repent and be baptized and you will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost!
It's really that simple. Read Acts 2 carefully. Now imagine yourself there with them that day. Had you been there you would have been completely different when it was all over. The thing is, God is still just as real and He has not changed His plan for us. Why don't most people teach about receiving the Holy Ghost this way? Because it is just as real now as it was then and once you receive the Holy Ghost you are accountable to God. It is just as real today. But with the Holy Ghost you WILL have the power and ability to overcome everything in your life. You cannot do it alone, Jesus knew that even as He went to the cross. He knew you would need the power of the Holy Spirit, He knew we all would. That is why He sent it on the Day of Pentecost. Even the Desciples needed this power to do all that was ahead of them.
It is real and you can have it all.

The Lord Jesus Christ has ALREADY died for every sin you can ever committ... Past / Present / Future ! ALLLLLL your sins have been paid for but ONE, which is reject of Him as your Savior. If you've received Him as Savior, God does not consider your sin no matter how many times you committ them. This is not to say that there isn't such a thing as chastisement. Once saved, your sin cannot effect your eternal destiny. Thank God for that.
If you're have a bi-polar problem you should seek professional help and stay with it.

Good news - no, He can't get sick of you. He loves you, and feels all your hurt. Believe me, I've been there... He even says to cast your cares on Him. Please don't give up, though. When Jesus came to earth He said He had come to comfort the broken, He was the physician for the sick, because the healthy did not need to be healed. There's this really great online station that has a helpline where you can call and just talk to someone completely confidentially - the site is www.radiou.com. Hold on, this too shall pass :)

No, God is never sick of hearing you pray to Him, even if you are in tears. He'll never be fed up with you. He likes it when you pray to Him. After all, He tells us in the Bible that we should always ask for forgiveness, and go to him for guidance. You are right, and believe me, your praying for forgiveness will pay off. God accepts you just as you are. After all, He has a plan for each one of us, even though we don't know what it is.

God is no respector of persons. His love for you is infinite. You were selected. Only you can control your own life. Trials and tribulation are inevitable, so you have to adapt. This means suffering. Your going through a trial period, perhaps issues which you brought upon yourself, so you can't blame God, only yourself. But don't get down, get through this and pull your self back up. Trust me, you have everything to look forward too, that is, learning from your lessons. So be thank full for your hardship. Keep praying. God knows what is best for you, even though you perhaps don't. Don't give up your faith, it could always be worse. Be thankful and count your blessings for the things you already presently have and the things in the past that have brought you happiness and joy.

I don't think God ever gets sick of us. When you still care what God thinks then you're still on track. Whenever you feel too bad about yourself just think about those people who do horrible things on a daily basis and don't care at all what God thinks.
Things will keep happening to you. That seems to me to be the force of life. We have to make exciting and interesting things happen, not sit around expecting them to happen to us or for us. Just remember the inordinate effort and attention you put into using. Try taking just a fraction of that effort and energy and applying it to some goal you set for yourself. Get your mind off yourself and put it on the goal, just like you would an addiction. Eat, sleep, drink and breath that goal just like you did your addiction.
That's the kind of ambitious drive that successful people have, and that kind of drive is empowering. I think you sound like a person who believes he is defeated. You will be as long as you believe that. I believe God meets us at every step we push ourselves forward.
Go out and make it happen!!!

God wont give up on you. just trust him.

God can never get sick of you. He will never get fed up with you. "All that the Father gives to Me are Mine and no one will be able to pluck them out of my hand."
Everyone gets into ruts from time to time.
Is there a Dream Center in the area where you live? Lots of people there have gone through the same things you are and will help you with all that. They can relate.
Also, God works through His people (and people who aren't His--yet), so the advice and encouragement you see on this site is God helping you. Let me give you an analogy: There was a guy who lived by a river that was flooding due to torrential rains. The community was being evactuated and he had no way out, so he prayed to God to save/help him. The man's neighbors came by and offered to take him and several of his belongings to dry ground. He refused, saying he had faith God would help him. Next, the National Guard came by and offered to take him and many of his belongings out, but he refused saying "God will help me." Days later he was on his roof because the floodwaters had ridden so high. A Sheriff's helicopter offered to save him but he refused saying "God will help me." So he drowns and gets to Heaven and says "God, I had faith you would help me. Why didn't you?" God said, "Beloved, first I sent your neighbors. Then I sent the National Guard. Then I sent the Sheriff's helicopter, chuckle, chuckle. In any case, you're here so enter into the joy of the Lord. As you know, it is My good pleasure to receive you into My Kingdom."

NO! God is the only giver of true un-conditional love. He died on a cross for all of our sins, past, present and future. If you are truly saved, you are one of God's children and He loves us all. no matter what we have done. In the Bible it says that God takes our sins and throws them as far as the East is from the West, and that's not in a circle like the Earth, but in a straight line. If you truly believe that Jesus died for your sins and accept Him as your personal savior, He will take care of you. Just remember, He will take care of you in His way and in His time, so don't get discouraged, be patient and blessings will pour out on you. I would suggest praying specifically for your personal needs, not wants, but needs. You should also seek a Pastor of your church or find a church you like and speak to the Pastor. Pastors can give you uplifting, Christian counciling that will help you in your daily walk. Hope this helps. In His name, Greg
