definitely the 5 joints. i have a lot of experience around people who were either drunk, high, or both and i can say that the joints tend to make people act stupid, but often leave them with the ability to concentrate.
alcohol, on the other hand (at least in my experience) tends to make people almost completely incapable of concentrating or performing tasks that require anything even resembling precision.

Definitely the 5 beers, I don't think I could smoke 5 joints of good pot and drive or even find where I left the car. 5 drinks not too much problem. Though I do not recommend doing either. Had to qualify my answer for all you holy-er than thous.
Yes, and yes.

Yes I can say neither one.The side affects from someone smoking 5 party joints vs someone drinking 5 beers in 2 hours would be about the same.Dumb, slow reactions, cant keep the car in their own lane.Smoked the craps for several years and drank for a few years.I was dumb.

If I had to choose between the two I think I would rather have the 5 beers coming at me. No I have never used pot and don't intend to and beer not only stinks it tastes bad.

That is like a bad and a worse choice. I'll go with pot and distract the driver by throwing a bag of chips to the other side of the road.

Personally the alcohol. Obviously this depends on the individual, but that amount of alcohol should have a smaller effect then that amount of pot. Plus, the booze would make you more swervy... the pot just decrease speed.
