No.. That is not possible.. Once you reformat the computer, you have to run the windows updates from scratch! If you have the most recent service packs, your pain will be less. Good luck!

Will a WinXP repair do?
Check this link. I think you will find all pertinent information here.
Over time, Windows loses stability. If you keep a computer for more than two years, at some point you're going to have to bite the bullet and reinstall Windows from scratch. But contrary to popular belief, you won't have to reformat your hard drive (with one exception, discussed below). The bad stuff you need to get rid of is all in your Windows folder.
Before you begin, gather your Windows and application CD-ROMs. Back up your data files (just to be safe), and then clear two days off your calendar. If everything goes smoothly, you can reinstall Windows in a few hours. But you have to assume something will go wrong: You may not be able to find a necessary CD, or data won't be where you thought it was, or something will simply refuse to work.
There's a difference between a repair reinstall and a complete reinstall. Though a repair (also called a refresh) will let you keep your current settings, a complete reinstall will give you a truly fresh version of Windows. Repairs are fast and easy, but they don't fix anywhere near as many problems. The instructions below are for total reinstalls, except where noted. -- Note: you will have to go to the link - there is too much to copy here.

Burn them to a disk if you know what they are. Also, if u do reformat ur comp, then Windows Updates/Microsoft Updates might automatically detect what is missing and re-install it. I'm not as sure about that though.

Sorry, that is not possible. You can easily install the updates from microsoft after re-installing xp. Should take less than an hour.

It is possible to download the latest service pack and make a new install CD out of that. This may be more work than is worthwhile, especially if you are only working on one computer.

looks like the trojan is the reason for the different 2 matters. i might advise downloading/setting up seek & harm, and then AVG loose version 2012. between those 2 courses you're able to be waiting to wipe the trojan and proceed on with a working pc! desire this enables.

you cant. everything gets dumped. updating is the longest part of reformating. some formating discs come with sp2 already, but if it doesnt, then you got to update.
