If there is no God (like the Christian version) and you lived by those rules, you would have wasted your life worried about sin rather than enjoying what this life has to offer. (You can be a good person, and good neighbor and good friend without believing that saying God d*** is sin.) If you live as if there is no god and arrive to be judged what's the worst that could happen? You could end up in Hell with all the other people that didn't care as well as some really great philosophers, thinkers and other cool folks like Aristotle and Ghandi. I see living my life worried about the next as the worst of the two choices.

What if I believe in God, our Heavenly Father.
What if I believe in his Son, Jesus Christ, and the Atonement. That thru repentance, I could be saved and live eternity with Heavenly Father.
What if, because I am a Christian, I believed in helping others. I gave money to organizations to help others. I volunteered my time to assist with improving the well being of others.
What if, I felt comfort when I prayed for peace. I felt strenght or was directed when I asked God.
What if, I did all of this, and when I died, I discovered I was wrong. I lived a good life. I tried to make the world a better place. I donated my time and money. I felt peace and assurance. Was my life in vain?

If I did these things, in the name of God, and discovered I was wrong, does it matter?

I heard this quote goes something along the lines of

Its better to believe in a God and find out there is none and lose nothing.

Whereas it is worse to not believe in one and find out there is one and lose everything.

What u are feeling is natural.
Faith is what makes this go away.
But ponder if you must.
Just be a moral person and do the right thing.

what if there weren't any ifs?
You wouldn't doubt then would you?
It takes alot more than a coincidence that poeple put their faith in it. And it would take alot more for them to doubt it again!

The real question is what if you are wrong? Want to take that chance?
