Why is it that you have to be rewarded to do good deeds? If someone prooved definitively that there was no God, no heaven or hell, would you still do them? Why not just do the good deeds to get the feeling that maybe you've helped someone in need, instead of having to be rewarded for it all the time?

This is your pride getting in the way. If you think you are capable of being on the same level as a completely perfect God strictly by your own means, you haven't really thought through your humanity. Socrates argued that every man does what he thinks is best at the time, and I think he's right, because otherwise we wouldn't have made certain decisions; therefore, we're all on the same plane as far as being "good" goes, but we all have different views on what "good" is. It's somewhat complicated to explain, but it could not possibly be our actions that set us apart in God's eyes, because he knows the hearts of all men.

For example, take the mind of a serial killer for instance: I've heard one of them say that he has to kill to survive, because when he kills, he gets money from his victims, and therefore he can go on living. He has a very disturbed mental paradigm, but he's just trying to get by like your typical guy.

It must then be something else that differentiates you in God's eyes. Christianity would say that it is your humility, that you are willing to accept that your ways are not perfect, and that God's ways ARE perfect. You then accept Christ's sacrifice and symbolically die to yourself (disavowing your old ways) and are "born again" into God.

You need to not worry about that. Be happy that you have been given a chance to experience life in all it's beauty. Be a moral person, do good deeds, help others in need, and always have love in your life. That will give you a fulfilling life and when it's over you will be able to die knowing that you made the most of a wonderful life.

Do you think we have it in us to be GOOD?

If yes, then it is as if you are saying that Christ died in vain. Christ blood through His sacrifice on the cross provide atonement for our sins, reconciling us with God.

Do you know what hell represents?
Eternal Separation from God

Why would or should God wants you to enjoy His presence in Heaven when during your lifetime you have blatantly refused to acknowledge His Son. He is the ultimate mediator between God and men. There is no other.

One thing that you can do, if you are willing.
ask God to help your unbelief. He is able.
Read His word, the bible. We do not have it in us to love God. Only His Word can soften our hearts to the extent of His love and grace.
John 3:16
"For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

God bless you and may his grace reach you,

P.S. : To all the cynic out there,
What has God ever done to you, to make you so cynical?
Please do not look at what people or christians do, and present it as your excuse for not following the way.
God's kindness is manifest in your life each and every seconds that you draw out air for your lungs.
He is merciful, patient and just.

God does not look at outward appearances but the heart. So, please seek Him while he may be found. Keep or turn your eyes on Him and stop looking around you.
It is sad that some who bear His precious name put it to shame but He Himslef attested that not all that cried out "Lord, Lord, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

Read the Pauline letter to the Romans. God's presence is evident

You believe in the hell and I assume the devil, but not in Christ? Unusual but who knows what is "out there"--if anything is.

I don't believe in hell, but I still try to be a good person.

According to Christian doctrine, you can be a super jerk and go to heaven as long as you believe in Christ and ask for forgiveness. I believe that little catch is why Martin Luther rejected Catholicism and created what later became Lutheranism. Your question would then be yes, you will go to Hell regardless of what you do, it is what you believe that matters. And they accuse atheists of rejecting religion to avoid a crisis of conscience.

No good deeds are a waste of time trying to get to heaven with them.

According to Christians yes you will go to Hell no matter how many good deeds you do. They believe that you don't have to do good deeds; all you have to do is believe in Jesus. This explains their notorious history of murder and mass genocide. They believe that Gandhi is burning in hell right now because of his beliefs despite his good impact in history.

Sad isn't it?

Yes. The Bible says that the unpardonable sin is blasphemy. Not believing in Christ is blasphemy. The Bible also says no man comes to the father except by Me, Christ Jesus. To go to heaven you need to accept Jesus into your heart as your personal savior and know that He died for your sins.
