it doesn't have that many preseravatives as regular milk. the regular milk cows aren't as healthy as the organic milk cows so their milk isn't taht great.

It is not milk. It is organic soy milk. filtered water and organic soy beans, organic evaporated cane juice,calcium carbonate, sea salt, natural flavors, natural flavors, carrageenan, vitamin A palmitate, vitamin D2, riboflavin (B2), vitamin B12. As per the ingredients list on Silk. There is nothing in there that will spoil anywhere near as fast as milk. I hate the flavor of milk, always have. Regular Silk is OK, but vanilla and chocolate Silk is great and healthier than milk.

The one i buy,Stonyfield Farms,i noticed just today,is "Ultra-Pasteurized".
Which means it is heated to 280˚,for a few seconds,killing any bacteria.This will extend the "freshness" or shelf life.
