Has anyone gone on a 12 day Mediterranean cruise on the Princess Grand?

I have just booked it. i am thrilled. It starts in rome and Ends in Venice.

I've been on the Grand Princess, and to the Mediterranean, but unfortunately not on the Grand to the Mediterranean. However, I can tell you that both are fantastic. I love the Mediterranean and have been many times, it is great, a fantastic vacation.

Now, for the Grand Princess. What an amazing ship, I remember when the Grand was considered to be the largest ship, when she first came out, she was so huge, but that was only for a year or so before the really big ships started coming out, now even those have been outsized.


I found the staff on Princess to be very helpful and acommodating, and for the most part very kind, all things I rank highly. Rooms were very nice, basically what is expected on Princess. The dining, in my opininon, was quite good, not perfect, but not always accomplished on a cruise. What I did like was that there are a lot of dining options and each basically as good as the next, I also enjoyed the dining rooms because they are much quiter than on other ships. I found that the finer selections of food, steak, lobster, etc. were, oddly enough, the best dished they prepared. There is also quite a few options as far as things to do on the ship, always a plus side. I could go on and on about the ship, I sailed on her shortly after her first sailing and then again in 2005, I was a little surprised at how well the ship was standing up to time. Princess has done a very nice job keeping her up and everything, considering her age.



You have good reason to be thrilled, I think that you are going to have an amazing time. I love Princess and I love the Mediterranean, I will be cruising there a little later this year and I can't wait.

No, I've never been to the Mediterranean, but I have taken a nine day Princess cruise to Alaska on the Crown Princess. It was the most fun I had in along time. Sometimes I didn't want to get off the ship at the ports-of-call, I was just so into it. Hope you have a lot of fun and relaxation on your cruise.
