she is looking at you to be a friend/mentor, essentially another type of relationship than husband/wife - you can still love her as a friend, or love her in other ways. There's a girl that I know that is a friend, but I love her more as an adopted daughter and not like a husband loves his wife. She's essentially saying that she doesn't love you like she would a husband. It's a good idea to keep the friendship. There's value in having a friend. If you liked her enough to date her then you should keep her as a friend. You never know when that friendship will benefit you.

If I understand your question correctly, and you happen to be in your early teens (I guess, based on your question), I would say you both should just remain friends. All these god-brother-god-sister rubbish are just fun labels which carry no meaning and bring unnecessary commitment in the friendships. Most teenagers don't recognise that, and find it a norm to do that.
Just remain friends, and be true and respectful towarsd each other.
