The Idea of this world existing with out God makes me feel highly uncomfortable. It is reasonable and highly essential to have God who judges this world , atleast, in the end. Look around and see all forms of irresponsible actions. I do not accept the idea of all those powerful criminals getting away with all their .....
First of all church is a collection of human beings who claim to worship Jesus christ . Though the bible says Christ if the Head of the church ,we can not make Church the reason to follow God or to fall away from God. Those you find in the church are imperfect people who are attempting to live God's way and who sometimes fail measerably , or who do not fulfill you preconditions. If you want to follow jesus , read the bible and follow him . You need to go to church because there are a few falks who have made it and they might help if you listen to them.

It is true that God's image has been tainted by mans lack of understanding. I really respect your words of enlightenment. I believe man has stopped looking inside himself for answers and is relying on education to fill his quest for knowledge. Education must be exercised with wisdom to be useful and not destructive.
There are so many end time teachers that we are losing sight of the race that was set before us to have a full, moral and fruitful life. God knows the time of the end and all he asked of us was to be obedient. If the intelligent that understand the ending are the only ones to be saved that would be a sad ending without mercy. A merciful God would save the poor, the meek, the ones with a sad heart, and the ones that didn't have it so good. That's the bible I read. The ones that needed instruction on how to be good are now becoming self righteous thinking they have the advantage. God so loved the cosmos that word is the "whole world".
I hope you have life more abundantly, now that you are free.
God Bless

I agree. Too many churches are condemning their own. I went through the same thing. Until I went to Jesus Himself, I did not learn the Love of God. TOO many self-righteous,in some churches. Ain't God Good?

I totally agree with you. I honestly believe that most if not all religions have been so interpreted by man throughout history that no one knows were the truth begins and the fictions ends. Religion has been conformed to what ever it believes will control the masses.
God does not control he enables. We were blessed with the freedom to make our own choices. He encourages us to be the best that we can be. To love and accept love when encountered. He is all forgiving and loving. Yet religions always put conditions on his love for us. Which has always bothered me, because then were did the phrase unconditional love come from. If not God then who, surely not man. We are not that evolved yet. Man has always places conditions upon each other. God never does. He will forgive you if you truly repent, again unconditionally. He has created us for greatness. I feel blessed everyday that I am loved by him. That my God knows that I love him and feel grateful for all that he has given and shown me in this life. I live life with my own to hands, always knowing I can reach over and hold his hand when need be. Footsteps in the Sand!!!

I wonder what Jesus would think of all this worshiping of himself instead of god.
Anyone who believe in any god and really tries to get into heaven will.
It seems like many people, though, go to church because their neighbor or family is watching.

Henry David Thoreau was a huge advocate of a person finding their own, personal relationship with God, absent 'church interference'.
My parents were Catholics and withdrew finding faults with the Church's teachings, my sister and myself were encouraged to find our own spiritual path (not encouraged to atheism or agnosticism, raised in a 'Christian' tradition and taught not to follow a docterine we don't find true in our hearts).
My sister now finds comfort in a liberal Protestant denomination... I found my spiritualality in a non-Christian (and non-atheistic/agnostic... despite explorations of those beliefs) theology.
Faith is the most individual choice there is...
you have to self-explore and find out what rings true in your heart.
If you want to find the one religion that will give you absolution, salvation and eternal life... they all offer that to one degree or another... even Heaven's Gate, the Branch Davidians and the People's Church of Jim Jones.
Listen to those in a particular faith, if what they say rings true in your heart... it may be your path.
