i like this kid and he likes me and we asked eachother our perspectives on what we look for in a guy or girl and when i asked him he said someting like this "someone i can bring home to mom and dad.she should have a good personality to meet mom and be attractive to show dad.i like that she would have alot in common with me like the same taste in music."and then he started describing me kinda he was like a girl who has her head on straight,that has pretty green eyes and blond hair (and that was all me) i was so embarrassed but that doesnt tell me a whole lot in what guys look for in girls.so GUYS what do YOU look for?

Depends on the age range, emotional maturity, and mindset of the guy.
The younger, less emotionally mature, and sexually irreverent guys are, they more they tend to look towards, as the other guy put it, 'the quickest possible lay'.
To me, it's about 2/3 personality and 1/3 looks.
First, I look at their basic value set and how they measure up to it, and along with that their self-esteem. I don't necessarily need to agree on every detail, but I need the woman to hold a set of values and standards I can respect and understand. Furthermore, she has to actually put forth some effort to stick to them, not just have them as pie-in-the-sky ideals. Then comes the self-esteem. I don't want a girl who is going to severely burden me emotionally. I mean, she can lean on me anytime, but if she's an emotional train wreck, she needs a friend more than anything else.
On the second part of the personality, I look for similar interests and futures. I am quite into geeky girls -- engineers especially -- and I simply can't date a girl if she doesn't have an intellectual side. We can be friends, but I need someone who provides a very thorough and complete complement of a mind to my own if I'm going to go out with them. Then, I look into how compatible our futures are -- whether the plans we have for our own lives are at all compatible in the long-run.
Finally comes looks. She has to look good enough I'm not repulsed by her, I mean, I need to be fairly attractive. I don't care if she doesn't have the largest breasts around or if every hair falls into place perfectly, though those assets are a nice bonus on the side. But as long as she looks good enough that I could see myself spending --ahem-- intimate moments with her, then I'm game if her personality is right.

i really don't look for the same thing in every girl i meet because every girl i different- i check out the "package deal." a girl doesn't have to be a model if she has a great personality. at the same time i dont want someone who i would gag looking at when in private and in public too! but generally most important is being a sweet, kind girl who cares about me, b/c even if i think a girl is very pretty, if she's a mean person, i don't want her. first personality, then looks, and it's not all about size of breasts or curves of the body, it's not, i think most important is the face. a pretty face is like that little puppy in the window, irresistible

Honestly... I'm one of the very few guys in this world who cares about a womans personality, heart, and mind, Beauty is only skin deep, and can be ruined by any one of a million accidents, A good heart on the other hand can't be broken.

I like a girl with a sense of humor, down to earth, not high maintenance, and a good, sweet personality. I also like an athletic girl, in decent shape with a cute face and body.

I would get to know her and see if she has a good heart. Most of us, look for a girl with beautiful physical features. But we take for granted what matters most, her heart. What is the point of going out with a beautiful girl, but if she is a ho$? Exterior beauty will fade with time, but the beauty inside will shine forever.

i love a girls eyes! and her hair..that is what i look in a girl! just imagine long brown hair..big brown eyes...ohh nice! and in personality she must be nice and funny! funny! and i really dont care if she's a bittch or a nun..she's going to marry me not my mom or dad..plus who said we were marrying so soon?....although i prefer to b more of a nun than a bittch
