*The book is just a book it is the message contained in it whic is not effected by the fire or that other gross thing.. Besides if you do not believe it, why try to desecrate it? The sin according to the bible that leads to hell is not believing and obeying the word.*

I think it is more a sin to read the bible and take it literally and not think for yourself. If you look closely, the bible has more about glorifying war and killing, revenge and people acting stupid than any religious person would like to admit. Christians have killed more in the name of their religion than Muslims ever did (not that terrorism is right, I'm just making a point).
Go ahead...look at the parts of your bible that your minister or priest don't want you to see. Creation is a JOKE. It is so vague because NO ONE KNEW WHAT HAPPENED SO THEY MADE IT UP, all the great kings were warmongers, and most of the gospels were suppressed because they didn't want the public to remember that Jesus was HUMAN, a father, a brother, and just as flawed as the rest of us.

I would say that respect should be given to every book which teaches good things. For example parents are the first teachers and how would it sound to set them on fire or urinate to put fire out.

i might think of it relies upon on the clarification for burning it. If somebody burns a Bible with the motive on disrespecting God, or making a fact of disbelief, specific. yet whilst they're freezing to dying and the only element obtainable to burn is a Bible...then no.

Well, if you're burning a Bible in the first place, you obviously have something against the Christian religion, so would you really care if it were a sin or not?

Not necessarily. It's a sin only if the process of doing it causes death in some way (Romans 6:23a). Anyway, sin is not the issue. Christ died for all sin except rejection of Himself as Savior. That one will definitely get you in big trouble if you die with it on your soul!

Your first question is not so bad, but your second one shows you are a just a minor trying to capture a stupid point.
Burning a Bible is not a sin unless you feel it is. But you probably should see someone about your childish behavior tendencies.

It's only a sin if you do it in front of an audience, paticularly at a Euology, Mass, Wedding or Baptism.
Happy Trails :)

It's a sin to pee on a bible unless you really really really have to go. Oh yeah and don't do that during any christian holidays, then you are cool. Otherwise the bible makes a great coaster, unless you have peed on it.
