I don't know if this is what you mean, but I prefer to 'know that I don't know.' I spent many years of my life in a very narrow fundamentalist church that believed it knew all the answers to everything. When I left the church I realized it was enormous pride to think that I know God's Plan or that I know the shape of God or how God reveals God's self to anyone. Including myself. I try to stay open to the possibilities of what is true, what is real, what is divine. And that serves me much better than signing onto a system of faith that says: everything you need to know is in these pages here.
Two prayers are important to me. One is the serenity prayer:
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. That might sound bromidic at first glance, but it is s surprisingly profound and helpful prayer.
The other prayer is simply to pray every day for knowledge of God's will for me, and to have the power to carry it out.
At night I pray to see how I've made mistakes, and how I might be better tomorrow. I ask forgiveness, and I go to sleep.
That seems to cover the bases quite well. It keeps me open, it keeps me honest, it keeps me humble.

Actually you have to extract the name God from your question because he is known by those of us who read and study his word.
