well, fer sure many if not most miracle healings are simply hoaxes set up for the audience/congregation but the human mind is an amazing tool and "faith healing" can work by providing the catalyst for the mind to engage with the body in order to heal itself.
have i experienced it? in a way. i wasn't healed by a Christian Evangelist but was provided the mental/emotional/spiritual tools to heal myself of a chronic nerve disorder by a "hippy shaman".
it was no sudden miracle healing. it took over a year of focused work to heal myself. i no longer need to use prescription drugs to steady my body. it was an interesting and awesome experience for which i am grateful.

It is God who does the healing. Yes. I know some people who I have heard their healing personally from the person. They were through the Benny Hinn ministry, & even from watching him on TV. It is God that does the healing though. Because the person can feel Gods healing touch.
Benny Hinn loves God. And also is specially gifted with the gift of faith and the gift of healings. Then I have heard of people in my own church who were healed from this and that. It depends on if the Pastor can instill faith in God for the person to receive and the anointing for particular healings is there.
Some false evangelists, not really Christian, might have an elaborate hoax. But I can discern that easily.

Waaayyy back in the eighties one of the local South African churches accepted a challenge to cure people on television. I think it was Ray McCauly or the Christian City guy, can't remember exactly. As we thought nobody was healed and those waiting for the blessings from above had to leave, most of them in tears because the standard "your faith isn't strong enough" cop-out was used. Anyway, when asked to respond the ringleader's response was that God had decided not to heal anyone that day.

my brother when we were kids.. and it was our own families prayers and a few friends from church ... not a tv evangelist ...his upper leg bones at the top where the socket goes .. the ball part .. had deteriorated and eroded away to the point he could barely walk ... we didnt notice it at first he just started to fall down and it got worse so mom took him to the doc and the xray clearly showed the ball was almost gone out of both legs from some bone disease i forget what it was .. anyways when my bro was little he had a very special faith and prayer life with God . .. after a few days all of a sudden he just got better ... they took him back to be xrayed and two perfectly formed ball joints now .. doctors had no explanation whatsoever how they could grow back or what became of the bone disorder ...

A total hoax. Those things have been exposed time & again. Sometimes people think things into being. That's an example of that. It's sad really, the bible warns against people who do things like creature miracles & stuff but some people still go to them and fork over all their money. Kinda makes you wonder who the stupid one is.
All apologies to anyone who buys into that. Sorry, but you're gettin' shafted.

Much of what passes for healings on television are the result of manipulation by the "healer." When confronted, or asked to provide medical documentation of the healing, they haven't been able to produce them.
Do I personally believe that God can and does heal people? Absolutely.
Do I believe that the charlatans passing themselves off as modern day faith healers are involved in those healings? No.

If any human claims to have cured anyone of anything, including doctors, they are forgetting who gave them the ability to be used in that way.
Any true practicing Christian I have ever known, knows that God gets the credit and the glory for all things.
Yes, I have seen God use his own to heal his own. I have never seen it done for mass media release and do not suppose that I ever will. God works in his timings, not the media's or the evangelist.

I don't know...it mostly is probably a hoax.
I do know that the conversion of a believer by the Holy Spirit of God is true.
I don't know of a single medicine that has cured any disease. So if anyone was "cured" of any disease it had to have either been a misdiagnosis or an act of God.

TV is fiction.
But dad did have a kidney stone back when I was a kid. Was in the hospital for surgery cause it was too large to break up or even to attempt to pass. Day prior to surgery after his church group had shown up for prayer. The stone was gone, 100%.

There was a woman at my church who had a large tumor in her stomach and had to go in for surgery. They took it out, but found another one "hiding" behing that one. The woman's mother asked our pastor and the congregation to pray for her, and a few weeks later she told the church that the doctors went in to take out the second tumor, but when they went to touch it, it dissovled into a bunch of little pieces. God is great!!
