Each day in america around 12 americans are murdered and up to 25 americans are murdered or killed by such things illegals do as drunk driving....being that the government hasnt taken action to stop illegals and their pollicies encourage it, do you feel you should be able to hold the government negligent? Yes, I think they should be able to. I think they won't win unless a policy was violated, like a known felon illegal wasn't deported, or something.

I think any immigration reform should contain citizen suit provisions specifically allowing citizens to sue to require enforcement. Environmentalists long ago figured out that was what was needed to make government buck business on environmental laws. For the same reasons, we need it on immigration laws.

Yes, the families of these victims should definitely be able to sue the government. In fact, if this were to occur, maybe the government would finally get their heads out of the sand and do something about the problem of illegal immigration.

The government where the illegal came from should be responsible for the death. I wouldn't want the state taxpayers to come out of pocket for some idiot that snuck across the border. Payment by the illegals home govenrment, and if the crime was murder a swift execution would be nice too.

Condemning the frightened working-class white guys organizing citizens' militias along our southern border, or vilifying those who listen to Limbaugh and are convinced that "liberals" are in some sort of collective plot to undermine America may feel good, but it doesn't address the real problem. Progressives will be most effective when we reach across the divides created by Bush, Specter, et al, and point out how this is really all about corporate conservative efforts to replace the American middle class with a workforce of "working poor" Americans and powerless illegal immigrants (or powerless "amnestied" workers) - all so CEOs can fatten their paychecks and further reward the "conservative" investor class.

Only then will Mexico and other countries to our south have an incentive to get their own houses in order, and will our middle class begin to recover decent bargaining power and the living wages that accompany it.

Really, governments are responsible for protecting their own borders from invasion and their own people from crime. For example... Americans are free to travel anywhere. But, if you disobey the laws of the land you travel to... you'll find yourself in BIG trouble. The Mexican government is ecouraging this invasion, but obviously with the blessing of "our" treasonous government. Obviously, it would be possible to prevent illegals from working, banking, driving and finding housing here. We must be very careful to place the blame where it belongs. "Our" corrupt, treasonous government is allowing a foreign invasion of the USA!!! They need to be removed at once and punished for their treason according to The Constitution. That's the real problem and the only real solution!!! The criminals who've overthrown our government love it when they can confuse us into misdirecting our anger and energy elsewhere and they are too often successful. Time for us to open our eyes. These criminals are not our government!!! Replacing American workers with foreign slaves is not free trade!!! Allowing a foreign invasion of the USA is TREASON!!! These are acts of war against the American people by the criminals who've overthrown our government and pose as our government... as they unconstitutionally merge the military with law enforcement to wage war against us as we wake up...

I don't think you should be able to sue your governor , But I know in Charlotte NC. There was a guy that was illegal here from El Savador. He killed a girl and her unborn child and he had been deported twice before, back and he was back. I think that the people that housed him while he was here should be held liable too.

I wish I could. A car load of illegals smashed into my wifes car heading north on I-25 through Wyoming. They left, I paid to fix the car.

Of course, then families of of our troops should also sue the U.S. government. And for letting criminals free with a high rate of recidivism.
Any murderer should be punished, the government can't take responsibility for everything even though in some cases, (though not the one you stated) it's partially their fault.
