whoever the script says is better.
They are both actors. They will not enter a "no holds barred" or even an MMA match.
I don't blame them one bit either. If either of them did even train and is able to use it realistically they have nothing to gain by doing so but have everything to lose.
Only an idiot would believe that "wire fu" and an actor's fighting translates to the real thing as things are done differently in movies, they are done so the audience can see what is going on and to create a dramatic fight.
For either to step into an MMA ring or otherwise and fight would mean that millions of morons would now see the truth and they would lose thier rep as a martial arts actor.
Would you give up a huge paycheck just to have a bunch of knuckleheads on the internet that are collectively likely less than 10% of your net worth shut up?
Who is lauging on thier way to the bank, jackie chan and jet li might not be able to fight thier way out of a paper bag with a chainsaw (or maybe they can) but as they are making money off the "rubes" why would they prove it.

Jet Li is an accomplished artist. He holds 4 Chinese national championships 4 years running. However the competitions were kata not fighting.
Jackie Chan is also very well trained. He is more well rounded in his training as he has trained in arts like Judo, boxing and many other forms of Chinese Gung Fu styles.
Both have trained their whole lives. I would not bet on who would win.

jackie chan is in fact a martial artist not just a stuntman.and there kung fu is 2 different styles,so there is no comparision.

In real life, Jet Li is better. Jackie Chan is a stunt man who turned famous in his funny kungfu movies.
