No its the other way around. Ceramic braces cost a lot more becuase they are tooth coloured.

I'd go with metal because they work faster than the ceramics. And after a while the clear ceramic ones will get dirty and noticable. Plus, you can shave a few months off the amount of time you have to wear them and save money.

ceramic is more expensive because it's tooth colored
but metal is stronger than ceramic, it's more useful, ceramic could break in your teeth and it could cause another problems like sore in gum area, better to use metal.
