1 MILLION for endangered species protection programme?

this is a project of mine. if I was provided 1 million for the preservation of an endangered species in my country (which I had chosen tiger for this occasion), what actually should I do? and it must be under the budget.

habitat restoration could be a possibility, parcels of land could be baught and set up as a reserve, and to keep it running you do education programing though it to help educate the public. this in time will bring in sponsors to keep the efforts rolling.

One Million dollars does not buy much. However, if it was my project, I would do the following:

1) Use some of this money to get more. If you are serious, then you must know a million dollars is chump change in regards to this project.

2) When you made more money, buy an entire island away from any mainland but defensible against poachers.

3) Hire volunteers when possible. Even have students live on the island as part of their training (with a tidy fee of course).

4) Avoid tourist influence at all cost. It is all nice and all to say this could bring in needed income but leave only scientists. students and professionals to be allowed on this island ( with a tidy fee of course).

I am not saying creating a Jurassic Park is a bad thing, only it does not serve the good of the endangered species. Hopefully you could eventually introduce more endangered species as you go along.

Anyways, good luck with this. Hope to see you in the news winning a Nobel Prize or such. And if not, you can always say that you are doing something for the betterment of the human race.

first of all u should find volunteers in ur country who are ready to work for free and are devoted to conserve the environment. by the way which country are u in? u may even take help of media for publicity. u should open a site and influence people to donate some money. i dont know much about it but i m happy there are people who really think about our eco-system. best of luck for ur project.
