How should I know? Does the Devil exist? If so, is the devil's side of the story really known? Maybe the Devil was the good guy, but we'll never know because it's the winners that get to re-write history...

I don't have sympathy for something I don't think exists.

Although I feel it's a shame that everything the devil stood for is villianized and made evil.

The being which you call "The Devil", his common name being Lucifer, meaning "The Light bearer", does not need any sympathy. But he deserves our admiration for being the first to rebel against a cruel God, thus showing us the way how to get out from under the tyranny of "Yahweh", whose aim it is to force his creatures to worship him, and if they don't, to punish them.
And, by the way, Lucifer is being used as a scapegoat for all the evil committed by God, so don't be deceived.

Why have sympathy for someone who only wants to kill you, steal from you, and destroy everything that you love? NOPE, no sympathy here!

No. For Lucifer held one of the highest ranks in Heaven yet he got greedy, he wanted for himself. So he took 1/3 of the angels with him.

Just like today in business......this is called a traitor.
